Day #35: Berries

Yeah I'm a day late... I know! :) But yesterday was a long day and didn't came home untill 11.45 last night. After work I went over to have diner with my parents and had an appointment after that. One of my moms' colleagues is getting married on June 27th, well they still needed a photographer. So my mom told them that I did my first wedding in June last year. So I went over there... They're hiring me!!! Yoohoo, I'm so excited and so were they after they had seen my photobook...I'm so happy with this! :)

Yesterday I had no clue what my photo was going to be about...So during our break I went for a walk around the block with one of my colleagues, needed to clear my head anyway. Just around the corner of the daycare I found these berries...some covered with still a little snow. Yeah we had snow yesterday...so pretty and just didn't wanted to take a dull scenery photo and took this...Day#35

I wanted to do the tag thing, but just can't think of anything right now... My head is with someone else right now. I'll tell you a little bit about what's up and why I had a rough/sad  couple of days. We know the ins & outs, but won't go into any specific details... Cause it's all kind of shocking! Monday morning when driving to work my colleague called me and told something happened with the dad of one of 'our' kids. Last Saturday he (35 yrs. old) got killed with bad intensions by someone else!!! Last saturday before we went to diner, my colleagues and I watched the news and saw this thing had happened, we all three said...'what is wrong with the world today'. Without knowing it was the dad of one of our kids! We're all so sad and try to do everything we can for this little boy (turning 4 in March) and his mom, but it's not easy! Working with 12 kids around all day and having these feelings is so hard!! We saw this man like three times a week and now he's gone... We all can't understand it and it's so unreal... I so wonder what is in someone else's head when committing such a crime?? Lately you see many awful things happening, but now it's so close to 'home'. Like I said it's just so unreal & unfair!!! The funeral is tomorrow and it's going to be hard and emotional. We're all just trying to stay strong for the family... :(

Day #34: This is Max!

Let me introduce Max... He's Antoinette's little boy and he's such a cutie! he also goes to our daycare, but I don't see him that often since he comes on Tuesday & Thursday and normally I only work all the other days...But the upcoming weeks I'm working four days a week and have the honor to watch this little guy :)Day#34I told her this morning, that Max was going to be my photo for today, but I can tell you it's not easy to photograph this little guy. Of course his mom is always in his face with her camera..LOL, Just kidding hun! :) But he always try to turn his head the other side when wanting to take a photo...but this time I tricked him into it! :)

Oh yeah I talked Antoinette into starting prject 365 too and she's doing great so far. Make sure to check her blog, cause she recently did her first wedding shoot! :) On Thursday she's coming over to process the photos since it's her first time and also maybe pip her bloggy a bit! :)

Oh yeah I've been tagged, but my brain is kind of empty. Had a rough/sad couple of days, but don't want to go into any details. Will try to play along on Thursday!!

Day #33: Lucky charms

Yup my car wears some and not driving my own car without them. I collected these over the years... Day#33

First I got the little dream catcher wich we bought in spain during a vacation in 2005. Then I bought this moroccan slipper during our vacation in Morocco in 2006, everyone over there wears them and they are soooo comfy, I think I have 5 pairs! LOL. Then in the shoe there are two things... first a 1 dollar note, wich I kept in my pocket all the time during our vacation there last summer and second there's a nut from a date in there. We had a moroccan wedding in August and it brings luck keeping the nut from the date you ate during any moroccan party... So if you ever see such a thing hanging from the rear-view mirror of a car... It's me!! LOL

Day #32: Sheep

Last night I also got a gift from one of my colleagues Lista... She wanted to give me money for the photoshoots I had with her and Anouk. I did an pregnancy shoot with her and her DH and a babyshoot when Anouk was born. Well I didn't wanted money so she asked what I did wanted... So I told her I had been looking for this sheep fleece, to put newborns on during a shoot. And that's what she gave me last night. It's so cute and fuzzy and well I'm so happy with it. Here it is...Day#32 Although this photo doesn't do it quit justice...it's way cuter!! :) It's like almost 2 meters long and 1 meter width...

Day #31: A fancy diner!

Girls we've had a lovely, fancy diner tonight!!! Lista, Mieke (my colleagues) and I went to this beautiful restaurant/castle in Montfoort and had an awsome five course diner. 31-1 We got this diner as a goodbye gift from one of the kids Roos from dayacer & her parents. Let me tell you something about the sweet little 4 year old Roos....

Roos was born with the Apert syndrome. (You can check the site to see what the syndrome is like, cause it might difficult for me to explain). In her short life she has had like 10 operations... When she was born her older brother came to our group at daycare and as you can imagine we were all kind of shocked when we heard the news. When we first met her, we all didn't know what to expect and how her life & body would develop. Her mom wanted her to grow up with the 'normal' kids and since we didn't have to give her meds or needed extra special care we took her into our group. In the first years she needed to be attached to a special machine when she went to sleep. That machine checked the oxygen level in her blood, to make sure she got enough air. When she got older she developed like a normal kid... It did took her a little longer to start crawling, walking and talking, but all turned out great.

Now-a-days and well has always been, Roos is an extremely happy child and she's just the sweetest!! As you can imagine this little girl will always have a special place in our hearts. When she turned 4 in July and had to go to school, her parents were so thankful to us for taken her into our group and well just for taking care of her and just let her be a normal kid, that they gave us this awsome gift. It was so fancy with a five course diner and they had planned something extra special. 31All three of us got this beautiful glass Rose (Cause Roos is how you spell the name of the flower over here in the Netherlands). It also had a sweet card wich said: They thanked us for the special years Roos had with us at daycare, but a diner is not lasting forever. When it's gone, it's gone and so they gave us this flower that would last forever...isn't that sweet??? I think so and the thought behind is just lovely!

We had an awsome time, we laughed, talked for hours, the diner was amazing & exclusive and well the company was just good!! So before I'm going to show you my photo for Day #31...here's our 3rd course meal....31-2Here we had fillet of beef on a bed of carrots, haricot verts & mashed patatoes, surrounded by this yummy gravy!

Now on to today's photo... Yup that me and my colleagues. From left to right: Lista, Mieke & me holding the rose in our mouth, LOL. I'm going to print this photo or myabe even scrap it and will give this to them as a little thank you gift! :)Day#31So now it's 0.55 AM over here and well had a couple glasses of wine. I think I'm going to bed now...or maybe I'll quickly finish my monthly summary page for January, but first off to leave some lovin around! :)

Day #30: What's in my purse...

I thought maybe, just maybe you were kind of curious what I carry around in my purse... LOL. Well I can tell you it is nothing special :) Here ya go:Day#30 Shewing gum, a new pack of cigarettes, my drivers' license (wich of course I sometimes forget when taking another purse and forget to put it in there, oops), 'supradyn' vitamin drink tablets, my bank-card, 'rituals' hand cream (love that stuff), paracetamol (like ibuprofen), tissues, some change, 'rituals' eve's kiss lipgloss (there you go again, no day without 'rituals'), rouge blush + brush and two hairpins...

So that's all...and well most of the times I also carry my camera in my purse, but as you can see I had to take a photo with it! LOL

Only one more day till January is over and well I had a blast this past month. I never expected I would keep up as good as I did and only missed posting one day...well ok, two if you count in the day when blogger was down. I do however kind of neglected my own scrap blog, because of this! LOL, but will try to get back to that too! But yeah I'm kind of proud at myself and well also of all those ladies out here who kept up. You all rock and so loving all those sweet comments. I'm such a blog lover and well love to see what's going on in your life's and the ideas for photos you come up with. It's really inspiring! So bring on february, cause I'm ready!

Just a little note... I'm not sure if I'm going to make it to blog tomorrow. I'm going out to dinner with my two colleagues to a fancy 3 star restaurant/castle, with a 5 course diner. We got this as a present when one of our 'special' kids left daycare, since she turned four (will tell you more about Roos tomorrow). Anyway I though it would be fun to make a photo of me and my colleagues at the restaurant and will probably be home late. So we'll see...I'll either blog when I get home or the next day in the morning! :)

Day #29: Spring??

Well it's still too far away and can' t hardly wait... I need the sun and blooming flowers! I went to this parc today and well it had the saddest look! The sky was kind of greyish with the sun hiding behind the clouds and it kind of gave me the chills. No one was there and felt soo lonely!! This was my first time in the particular parc and I don't think I'm ever going back there... Took some photos of the scenery around there, but not even going to show you. Put my camera back in my bag and left as soon as I could! LOL

When I came home I noticed this grass, half covered with ice and some parts were already defrosting. So here's my photo for today... Love how this turned out!Day#29

So now I'm off and going to think of an idea for week 5 and 6... see you tomorrow! :)

Day #28: Point & shoot...

Well first of all... I missed posting a day!!! Can you believe that... I kept up so well, but knew this was going to happen one day! LOL Last night I had indoor soccer practice and well I came home around 11.00 PM and just didn't feel like turning on the pc and post my photo. So here I am... it's now 10.36 AM, day 29 and woke up 30 mins ago. So make sure to check back later today for my photo for day #29! :)

Now on to my day #28th photo... Last weekend I ordered a fun new gadget for my camera. It' s a tiny remote control and had so much fun playing with it last night at my parents' house. I think the remote has a reach of like 200 meters...and it works on infra-red. Right next to my lens there's the infra-red spot on my camera. Here's a photo of me trying it out and well just wanted to show you my new fun gadget! :)Day#28

Isn't it fun?? :)

Well see you guys later today... Hugs!

Day #27: A little cutie...

So today one of my colleagues had a meeting with the works council wich she is in, so I worked for her... Her little girl Anouk came to our group today and she's really such a little cutie. She usually goes to another group, but had they too many small kids and the colleague from that group had to work with a substitude and so we got to enjoy Anouk's little smile and babbling today... here she is...Day#27

I told my colleague yesterday Anouk was going to be my photo for today.... Wanted to process it, but kind of in a hurry! Gotta go change and head to softball practice before I'm too late... again!! LOL So will be back later on to leave some lovin' around the '365 world' and maybe I'll play around with the photo too! Hugs!

Day #26: skyline...

When I got home from work at 5.15 PM the sky was truly beautiful and just knew that was going to be my photo for today! It was one of the first days since months, it was still a little light out side and you can clearly see that spring is coming closer... Finally! I so love spring and seeing all those flowers pop out of th earth... So when I got home I took my tripod and camera to the balcony and used a long shuttertime. I love how awsome this photo turned out...Day#26

As you can see the skyline was seperated with these different colors...the bottom layer was green-yellowish with a couple of dark blue stripes/clouds, then soft and warm orange... Then a small stroke of light blue and dark blue and purple at the top, I loved it!
