It’s time for a little (possibly long) round up of the year 2009! I want to higlight some photos & stories from the year 2009 and will be doing that by month. So let’s get started!!

January:

Day #1- ringing in the new year 2009, with some fire-works

Day #24 – I got a new car from my parents...how sweet!! (notice I still used my old logo :))

April:

May:

Day #191 – I also left for a week vacation with my parents in Italy

Day #200 – made the number 200 out of wood and decorated them...
Day #207 – My guy went down on his knees and asked me TO MARRY HIM! Of course I said yes... FYI, we still don’t have a date planned, cause we really want to buy a house first! :)

August:

Day #213 - we got a new freezer
Day #221-223, we went to Friesland and stayed my my cousin & his family for a weekend...Visited some beautiful places!

September:

Day #244 – started my diet and the plan was to loose 20 pounds before dec. 31st... didn’t make it!
Day #248 – Went to ‘Lief’ a music festival...and it rocked!
Day #254 – Had a BBQ at one my colleagues’ with the whole bunch...
Day #257 – Had an indoor soccer game and made a photo of the whole group...
Day #262 – My colleagues little girl Anouk turned 1!
Day #263 – It was SUGARFEST (eid ul-Fitr) and had a fun day with my guy’s family...
Day #265 – Only 100 days left!!
Day #270 – Had a fun girls-day with a high-tea and a walk in the parc...

October:

Fall is here!!
Day #278 – It was my guy’s 30th birthday!
Day #279 – I babysitted our little 2nd cousin Quinn and had such a fun day together...
Day #288 – Took this adorbale photo of my colleagues girl at daycare... I love it!
Day #290 – My dad went flying in a small motorized hover plane and I went along to take photos
Day #293 – received the wedding book for the wedding I had on Day #178
Day #279 – I got my first glasses today!

November:

Day #300 - ...November 1st, only 65 more days to go...time flew by!
Day #308 – I received these memory bands in the mail in memory of Sara Sullivan, after I’ve made a donation a few months ago...
Day #310 – I had a wedding shoot for Martin & Bianca...
Day #317 – After a indoor soccer game, with had a fun night with the girls from soccer... played games & sang karaoke! we had a blast!
Day #323 – Went to see my colleagues newborn baby son Tigho...
Day #327 – Finished the weekly planner I made for my mom

December:

The last month of my project 365... :(
Day #335 – Finished my dad’s surpirse gift...
Day #338 – Had a fun sinterklaas evening with family and surpise gifts
Day #339-340 – we helped my brother & his GF in their new house
Day #342 – Had a babyshoot with little Tigho, my colleagues baby boy...
Day #349 – Put up my Christmas tree and took some photos, using my tripod & a low aperture...Love it!
Day #354 – We had over 24 cm of snow in the past two days
Day #355 & 356 – My guy and I went away for a night...to this beautiful hotel in the woods
Day #359 – Christmas day spend with my mom’s side of teh family and had a wonderful diner!
Day #361 – showing off my new haircut

DAY # 365 - THE LAST DAY of my PROJECT #365!!! After making a wish my guy lit up this flying latern and let it go up to the sky...

This project has been a blast and like I said before, I’ve got lots of fun things to look back at! I’m going to publish this blog into a book...but need to save up some money first! LOL I so can’t wait to see what it will look like!

Day # 365...2009 has gone forever!!

So it’s january 1st 2010!!! I hope everyone had a great newyears eve, cause we really had a blast and stayed up till the wee hours! We went to bed around 4/4.30 this morning and didn’t came out untill 2PM-ish :) It was a great night, but well a new year has knocked on our doors!

I’m here to show off my last photo of the year, my last photo for my Project 365 – 2009! I showed you a little preview yesterday of what was coming... well here we go!

Around 23.30 we lighted the first flying latern... it didn’t went really good, cause it was a little too windy and ended up in one of the trees at the end of the street! But it looked beautiful either way! LOL We all just hoped that the tree wouldn’t catch the fire...yikes, but gladly it didn’t! Here we go... My guy lighting the first latern, right after he made his first wish...

And... Since the wind was still blowing when he lit the second one, he waited till the wind layed for a minute and it worked!!! Right after a small struggle of finding his way up in the air... of it went! So here’s my photo for Day # 365... flying up in the sky! It was such a cool thing to see and we saw it flying off for a few minutes...

I also took some more photos of fireworks. Last year I used my tripod and decided to try it this time without... and I love it! There were a lot that weren’t good though, but these are my favorites...

Well, again I’ve decided this isn’t the end. I really want to do a final wrap-up post and higlight some of the things & photos which really meant a lot for me! Not sure when I will be back, but it will be before Wednesday, when I have to get back to work... Yeah I’ve got 4 more days off of work!!! -hugs-

Day # 363 & 364... The LAST day is here!

OMG, I can’t believe this wonderful project is over... well almost!! I haven’t taken my photo for today yet. I did take a photo, but it’s just a little preview of what’s coming tonight...well make that tomorrow! I’m not going to be home tonight, cause we’re celebrating at my parents’... I so can’t wait for 2010!!

A new adventure and a new round, starting project 52! I can say I’m a bit excited to start with it... but on the other hand I’m a bit emotional (and don’t ask me why!! LOL) about closing this project 365! It’s been a fun year and I’m so glad I took the plunge and started this. I mean, who knew I WAS going to finish this?? Well not me anyway! I had hopes, but...well all I can say is that I’m sooo proud at myself for keeping up and I finished ‘PROJECT 365’

This isn’t a goodbye, cause I will be back tomorrow and I really hope that some of my followers (especially my mom & dad) will make their way over to my new blog: ‘Round II, Project52’

Day # 363, I took this photo of all the Christmas/Newyear cards we received... There are two special cards there. Well for me they are. I recieved a card from two online friends and I so love the fact they’d send me one. It just felt really special... Knowing I’ve got friends all over the world!!

Day # 364, Remember I made my mom a weekly planner?? Well I finished mine too! it’s not completely finished, cause it’s missing some photos and more flowers. But the front and back are done and I love how it turned out! Here it is:

Day # 365, Sorry... you’ll have to wait for the real photo!!! But I am going to show you a little preview...

On my guy’s 30th Birthday I gave him 4 of these flying laterns. But since it was raining and both the day we had the party & on his birthday...we kept them. The plan was he could lit three of them, one for each of the 10 years of his life.. and with each of those he could make a wish. The 4th one was for the both of us, to make a wish together and just celebrate the life we have!

The plan is to light them up tonight and my guy can still have his three wishes! I really want to light up the 4th one together, right after OO.OO o’ clock and make us a wish for 2010!

When a new year start we always say: ‘this is going to be our year’... but to be honest I never felt that way! For 2010 I’ve been having great feelings. I’m not saying our life isn’t good at al..but I know & feel it can be way better!

*sigh* writing this down, makes me a bit emotional....

So...Now, let’s just get ready for the new year!!! I want to wish each & everyone of you a beautiful 2010, with lots of love, health, happiness & joy. And of course I hope you’ll make it a year full of photos & memories for all your loved ones! May 2010 be one of the best years so far!!!!

Day # 359 – 362: Christmas & new stuff!

So did you all have a wonderful Christmas?? I know we did..it was so fun and great to spend such precious time with our family!

On Christmas day we went to my aunt & uncle for a big Christmas diner with my mom’s side of the family. Like I told you before it’s been 4 years since we last celebrated it together...so this was great! We have a 4 course diner, with lots of yummy things to choose from... I thought it would be fun, to take a photo of the family. So I brought my tripod and remote control and here’s our family pic.

Although we’re missing some people on this photo: my sweet aunt Joke, who was sick. My uncle Gert & his GF and his sons with their families, my mom’s two sisters from the states: Carla & Gerda and their families (uncles, kids & grandkids) We missed them all, but it was still a great night...

We also took lots more photos, but just a few I like... here are my aunt Wilma (left) and my aunt Thea, preparing the main course with salmon, veal & lots more goodies...

And one I really, really love... from top to bottom...it’s my brother’s GF Kiki , Me, my cousin Annika, my cousin Jody & our cousin Yvette... It was a long time ago, all of us together in a photo and I love it! :)

On the 2nd Christmas day... Let me explain this 2nd Christmas day first! LOL here in Holland we have Christmas eve en then 1st & 2nd Christmas day....which is pretty weird in my eyes. I always thought Christmas came from the states and well they only have Christmas eve & day. I really can’t figure out why we have two..but on one hand it’s great, cause we always have two days off! LOL...so to be honest, I can’t really explain why we have two!! :)

Anyways we spend this evening at my parents’ house with my aunt, uncle, cousin Robin, grandma, my parents and the two of us. We had a nice diner and the first course was salmon for the lovers...but my uncle & I don’t like it...so I made us something else. Smoked chicken with a Petra-made dressing..it was soo good!

My aunt made these cute fishes out of pastry...so cute!! :)

On Sunday we had a relaxing, well cleaning day. My parents came over for a bit to check out it Christmas tree... finally! Hehe, just had to say it mom! :) it was fun... afterwards we cleaned the house. But I still haven’t took a photo of my new hair...so decided to dress-up a bit and out on make-up and here I am... my new haircut!

It isn’t the best photo though! LOL. Anyways they’ve cut off 35 cm off of my hair and I love it. The front is a little longer then the back. The back is a bob-line. Like I said I love it, the only thing is that I have to style (blow-dry) it everyday for it to look a bit good! And well, to be honest... that isn’t my thing! LOL

Yesterday I had to get back to work... yeah after a full week of relaxing and enjoying our time of together, real live was back! I had some trouble getting up, but it was ok. After work I needed to drop of some books at the library, which were two weeks late... yikes! Then I decided to go to the little mall there and guess what??

I BOUGHT A NEW WINTER JACKET!!!!!! And I really, really love it! Last Thursday I went to the big mall in Utrecht and walked there for 4 hours. I tried on soo many jackets, which were not quite it. I was a little depressed when I got back home that day, cause I sooo needed a new winter-jacket. Well today I walked in to this store and there it was!! I tried it on and loved it right away... I didn’t thought about it and just bought it!!! I’m sooo happy with it, wanna see?

I love the grey and the (fake) fur in the hood is so cute and warm. And well, it was on sale! :) I looooove it!!

So Today it’s Tuesday the 29th... Only 3 more days left to this project! I haven’t got a photo for today yet. I was thinking about my last photo for day # 365. I just want to go with a BANG, but haven’t got the slightest clue yet. But I’m sure it will pop in one of these days.. I hope!

Day # 355 – 358: Merry Christmas!!

yeaah it’s Christmas!! I want to wish everyone a merry christmas, spend with family & loved ones!!

We’re going to my aunt & uncle (my mom’s brother) this afternoon and will celebrate Christmas with my moms’ side of the family. There will be 20 people and it’s not even the whole family! This kind of was a last minute thing and some family already had plans. The last time we celebrated Christmas together was when my GM was still alive. She passed away in March 2006 and we haven’t celebrated Christmas together ever since, so that’s 4 years ago. We do have our yearly family day in June, which is always fun! I really look forward to this afternoon and I’m sure it’s going to be great!!!

Now on to my photos from last week...

Monday, my guy and I went to this beautiful hotel somewhere in the forrest in Roermond. Before we went there, we first went to this big outlet center....We both have/had this week and needed some sweet time together! So I booked this hotelroom, wich was great! Turned out it was a honeymoon room! LOL When we got in the room, the whole suite was filled with rose leaves...

After we checked out the room, we went to the city to have diner.. well we totally forgot that most of the restaurants are closed on Monday’s! Yikes... so we drove to Venlo and went to the casino. We decided to have diner there. The casino was beautiful and guess what... my guy gave me some money after we had diner and said: well you only need one 10 euro paper. Mmm what?? Well I went on the first machine and well, he was right!! I won 250 euros right away! he also won another 50 euros later on. How awsome is that?? :) Here’s the casino by night!

When we got back to the hotel, I loved the light there...and with all the snow there, it looked pretty!

After a nice breakfast in the hotel, we packed our stuff and went to this ice-sculpture festival.

It was so beautiful, but within 15 minutes we were already outside again!! But wow, what a work! The sculptures were amazing and so well cut! here’s the hunchback of the notre dame.. all sculptures were from classic stories...>> Gullivers travels, see all those tiny figures all over him? :) it was pretty hard thought to get a good photos os these shiny objects! And here’s Frankenstein>>

My photo for Tuesday, is one of us!!! Yeaaah! I’m not sure, but I think this is the first photo this year of the two of us for my project 365... it’s a shame, isn’t it??!! LOL Here we are..my photo for day # 356, my sweetheart & I :)

On wednesday I went ice-skating with our nephew Aatik and two kids of Abdel’s cousin: Laila & Faris. It was fun and it was Aatik’s first time ice-skating! He loved it!! But it was kind of hard... Luckily there were these metal bar things, he could use. Look at that smile on his face...

Of course I took a photo of the three of them... for Day # 357

Yesterday I took a photo of my new sneakers. I bought these at the big outlet center in Roermond on Monday and I love them! I wanted such sneakers for a while, but never found cute ones. Well I did now and love these colors...

Those were my photos from last week... haven’t shot a photo for today yet, but I’m sure I’ll take lots of photos later on, during our fancy Christmas diner! :) Tomorrow we’re having a diner with my parents, grandma and uncle, aunt & cousin...

Oh yeah... I’ve made a decision about wether to continue with ‘project 365’ next year. I’m not going to... but... I decided to go with a ‘project 52’ of my own! I'm going to highlight one photo or subject for every week, wich really meant something to me. It can be anything! But of course I'm going to share more photos & stories, then just the one from my weekly highlight. I already made a new blog, wich you can chekc out here: ‘Round two, project 52’

Day # 351-354: Let it snow, let is snow…

Our sweet little country is filled with a tick layer of snow. I started snowing on Thursday and the traffic was chaos around here. Today it’s still snowing, I mean we’re in Holland here… have we ever seen so much snow in a few days of time! Well, I can’t remember anyway! It is nature at it’s finest! I love snow, although I don’t really like the cold though! LOL Anyways beware cause there are a few snowy pics coming your way! :)

Thursday, I had an appointment at this beauty salon 30 mins. from here, but decided to go anyways. I was glad I did… On my drive over there I stopped at this road, wich had all these trees along the side and loved the look of it. I took this shot and really love the trees here! :)

Ok hold on… I thought this was the first time it snowed this year, but all of the sudden I remember we DID had snow, early this year! It was on day # 7 :)

On Friday I worked again, after being sick since Sunday. I do feel tons better now, although the past couple of these have been cold and still not fully recovered. Anyways…my colleague brought her little boy to work. He usually goes to his GM, but she fell and bruised her hip… so nothing else to do, then brining him to work. He is so cute, but a little naughty too. He loved the snow and I loved his adorable cute cap!!! Don’t you?? Well he just IS cute in every way… those big brown eyes and that sweet face!

Since Saturday I’ve got a new morning ritual. The girl I went to for a beauty treatment on Thursday advised me to clean my face better. My skin is pretty ok, but she said it could be even better! So I bought some new facial products from the same line. I love HEMA!!! LOL I bought: day facial cream, night facial cream, smooth cleansing tonic, cleansing milk, facial mask & scrub cream. I don’t have to use it all everyday, but somehow I can slightly see the difference already! LOL Let me introduce my new facial products:

Oh yeah, before I forget!!! I went to the hair dresser yesterday and she has cut off at LEAST 30 cm off of my hair and I love it!!! My guy was a bit shocked at first, but he also loves it. I wanted to take a photo, but haven’t shot any yet. So will do that somewhere this week. cause we’ve got enough time!!! We’ve got this week OFF OF WORK!!!! The both of us!!!!! Yoohoo!!!! :)

Now Today, Day # 354. When I woke up it was still snowing, i should I say…it was snowing again! LOL And everything was white. When we were going to make breakfast we saw the balcony was filled with beautiful fresh snow. I decided to take a ruler and place it in the snow…well be both guessed it right! We thought it was about 20 cm. The be exact it was 21!!! Can you believer that. 21 cm of snow, here, in holland, in december!! If all goes right, we might even have a white Christmas. The last time we had a white Christmas… I wasn’t even born yet!!! Although I was in my mommy’s tummy!! LOL. It was the Christmas of ~ 1981 ~ So I really hope we’ll get it! Anyways here’s the ruler in the snow on our balcony! Although it’s probably a bit more by now. Hold on… I’ll check real quick! Yup it’s 24 cm right now!!

Well I think that’s it for today… My guy just got home with some pizza’s. They didn’t deliver because of the slippery roads, so he picked them up…

Tomorrow we’re going away for a day. First we’re going to this big outlet mall in Roermond and there’s also this ice-sculpture festival. Around 4 PM we can check-in in a hotel. I booked a night away in this romantic hotel with a jacuzzi. Then we’ll have diner somewhere and we might go to this christmas fair thing. In the morning after we had breakfast in the hotel, we’re going sight-seeing Roermond… I so look forward to this and I’m sure it’s going to be great!! Will see you all before Christmas! –xxx-

Day # 346 – 350: Cold Christmas

First of it’s pretty cold the past couple of days and on top of that… I really got a nasty cold/flu thing. It started last week and just didn’t felt too good, but was doing ok…untill Sunday night. It got through with: headache, sore throat, ear aches & a snotty nose. I just felt awful… When I woke up on Monday it was even worse and called in sick. Tuesday was my day of and also called in sick for today. I’m doing much better now, due to nosal spray, para-cetamols & vitiamins boms… But still not my old self!

Anyways, enough whining let’s get on with the photos. First of Saturday.. I had this 18th birthday party shoot at a very nice loaction. The place was beautiful and the decorations were amazing. In the front hall there was this pretty Santa and the surroundings were perfect!

Remember.. X, marks the spot! Well the tree is gone and to be honest it’s kind of bad. I think it was much prettier with the tree still there…but no way back now, right?? I took this photo from our window, since I was sick and it was way too cold! LOL

On Monday, I was completely exhausted and just felt awful. All I did was sit, lay down, sit, lay down & sit again… Oh yeah while blowing my nose, using nosal spray and taking paracetamols!

Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck… did I say YUCK already??

On Tuesday I finally finished our Christmas tree.. I started on Sunday, but it just didn’t work! I really, really love how it turned out. It’s got lime, white & silver balls with white snowflakes, silver stars and 2 silver butterflies. At night I decided to take some photos… so grabbed my tripod, remote, my camera & 50mm f/1.8 lens. before I’m going to show you my pics, I want to share some tips about photographing your Christmas tree…

Here they are:

1.) Use a tripod (or beanbag), for a steady shot 2.) Use a low aperture (between f/1.8-16) or a long shutter speed, to make the lights sparkle! 3.) Taking a photo when it's not too dark gives your lights the best glow! 4.) Use a remote (if you have one) or use the camera's self timer.

Now let me show you our tree… I took this shot with the following setting: 100 ISO – 24MM – f/14, using my 50mm f/1.8 lens.. and see how pretty those lights sparkle?? I love it!

Then I remebered this fun DIY project about making your own bokeh. It is so cool… I made two thin cardboard lens covers, one with a heart & one with a star. isn’t this the cutest you’ve ever seen??? I’m in love with this simple little diy cover, it rocks!

Oh and while we’re still on the Christmas tree subject, let me tell you about this challenge. I’m hosting a fun ‘show us your Christmas tree’ challenge at after five designs. This morning while wanting to show everyone my tree and the fun I had with taking photos. I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to make it a challenge and so I did. I asked the fab designers at A5D if they would sponsor and they said yes! So far we have 4 prizes, wich means 4 winners. But I’m sure there’s more to come!!! Check it out!!!

Now on to the photo from today… This morning I thought it would be fun to make another photo of the tree, but with daylight and it’s a close-up. But I have to say, I love the one from last night more!! :) Anyways, here it is… see the sparkles??

Day # 342-345: introducing…

So it’s already Saturday instead of the Thursday I said I would be back… but I’m here now! Still short on time… but well that’s life!

Let’s start this off with introducing the little baby boy Tigho. He’s my colleagues’ son and we had a fun shoot this Tuesday… He was fine, but we really had to make comfortable in every way. To be honest, I like some of the photos..but my expectations were a bit higher. We already decided to do it again, but not sure when. On one hand it seemed like he was too old already for a newborn shoot and too young for a normal baby shoot… anyways, first off my photo for the day and a few others I liked. Some of these were edited with some fab textures & overlays… but also loving my photoshop CS4 and Sara’s stunning actions… little red hair

Then on to day # 343, wednesday dec. 9th. Last week I ordered this cute elf hat from JJ – Lily designs. She made these cute hats for scrapbooking kits and for her pretty lil girl of course and now she decided to seel them. They are the cutest and I really had to have this one: ‘Violet bell elf hat’. And it only cost my $20 including shipping from the USA. If you want one, hurry cause there are only a few left!

Thursday afternoon I had a little shoot for a christmas present. A friend wants to print this photo on canvas… it was fun, although the little Diego didn’t felt like laughing… well he did, when the camera was gone out of his face!! Little rascal. But this photo turned out pretty ok, right? She wants black & white, so…

On Thursday we filled in some paper for a new house project. They’re going to start building jan. 2010 and we were interested. Friday during my break I went to drop this off at the real estate office and when I got home, I took this photo… it’s the groundplan for the project and some of the info books…

haven’t got a photo for today yet…I’ve got a 18th birthday party shoot tonight and will use one of those…or I’ll take a photo of the tree in front of our living room window, remember X-marks-the-spot…well it’s gone!! They took it down when we were at work yesterday and only noticed this morning. Well we’ll see!

Tomorrow I’m going to a friend, unless I still feel yucky like I do now. I’m coughing anf got a sote throat. If I’m not going, I think I’m going to finally… decorate our living room with christmas prettieness! :)

Now I’ve got to clean for a bit, take a shower & get some grocery’s… will see you all soon! –x-

Day # 338-341: Alert: Image heavy!!

Ok so the problem is fixed… I’m so happy to tell you I switched from ACDSee photo manager pro 2.5 to pro 3!!! I work as an evangelist for ACDSee and when I told them about the problem, they send me a the newest pro 3… I’m so happy with it, although I still need to get used to it, but it’s awsome!!! So I removed the old pro 2.5 wich caused the problem and all was good!!!

So here goes… I’m going to show you pics from the past couple of days. The title says image heavy and it will be! I want to show you some pics from our sinterklaar (st. nicolas) celebration we had on Friday the 4th. We all had to make surprise gifts and a poem wich was connected to things in peoples’ life and the possible gifts…inside those surpirse gifts were the real gifts hidden. It was so fun!

But the evening started a little different with a toast and I’m about to show you my photo for Day # 338. My sweet brother melvin and his GF Kiki bought a house. This day they got the key to their new house!! I’m sooo happy for them and of course we had to toast with some champagne!! Don’t they look happy??

After some buffet diner (mom & I made) we started with the gifts. My guy was the lucky one who got the first gift… Oh no, hold on… It was the little Quinn, my cousin’s little boy. It was getting late and the boy got tired, before we had diner he got a gift. We bought him this book and as you can see by the look on his face, he loved it! :)

Then let’s start with the surpise gifts… my guy got this boxing bag, since he started kick-boxing a few months ago and really wants one of these… well he got one, from cardboard anyway! LOL Inside there was a DVD from this comedian and a giftcard from a fab clothing store. Here it is:

My dad of course got the plane I made him… inside were hidden: a brown leather belt and some hot scrub from rituals

Next up: Kiki, she got the kitchen we made for her… inside were hidden: an Ikea giftcard, a bracelet & a beauty facial mask.

Then it was my turn… I was so curious, since when I got it, it was sinde this washing box, cause it needed some protection. The poem was great, but surpirse gift was truly awsome. I got this house (since we’re looking to buy one) made out of pepper cake. The roof was made out of pepper cake too, with pepernoten & M&M’s stuck to it… It was so creative, I really ,really loved it! I decided to use this pick, so you could see the gifts were hidden under it… As gifts I got ‘jamie oliver’ flavour shaker & a chocolate fondue set… inclusive choclate, of course! LOL

My sweet mom got this vase, made out of cardboard covered with silver foil. Inside were a vase & some pretty purple earrings.

Then it was my brothers’ turn… My dad bought this sweet 70’s doll house. He closed it off with a front & screws, so he needed an screwdriver to open it. isn’t this doll house cute?? Inside there were cd’s + covers, a book to read on the toilet (a toilet book, LOL) and some rituals bathshower…

My cousin BF Peter got a home-made bjorn borg boxer shorts, wich my mom had sewn. It was almost an excat copy, with the real tag in it. He got a wallet & some real bjorn borg boxershorts

My sweet cousin Sylvia got something fun… she recently started nurse school and she’s doing great. With the mexican flu and all my autn made her this… But before she got to unwrap the box, she needed to wear this nurse clothing, it was so fun! Inside the box was this big injection needle…. she got a few gifts along the way like: perfume, a calendar & a daycare diart for Quinn…

Last but not least, was my autn Yvonne… Kiki made her this ‘prison break’ box…A few months ago, Yvonne borrowed a dvd box from them and said she had returned it. Well after months it was still missing…one day she found it, I believe somewhere in the back of a closet. So this was also another fitting gift. But Kiki made her suffer and filed the whole thing with construction foam (can’t find the real translation) and it took her like 10 minutes (or more) to get all the gifts… As gifts she got: candles & a copuple more, but can’t remeber…

It was such a fun night and we shared a lot of laughs (& a few tiny tears)… I’m glad everyone loved the gifts, poems and surprises!

Now back to normal life… On saturday we went looking at Melvin & Kiki’s new house, since we haven’t saw it yet… This might be a weird photo, LOL. The house they bought needs a lot of work. They are going to place a new kitchen & bathroom. Since they’re also expanding the bathroom, they needed to look at the plumery. This old thing is going to be replaced with a whole new watering system wich is on the ceiling and on the floor of the new bathroom… Kind of a weird explanation too, but have no clue how to translate all those technically things with building and re-constructing a house…LOL

On Sunday we went over the help them out… I filled little holes in the walls & window frames and we also helped with smoothing all wooden things. here’s my guy smoothing out the doors of the bedroom… I love to see my guy at work! :) He can practice before we buy our own house! LOL

Yesterday… I found this at the floor this when coming at work…. little black paper cut hands & chocolate money :)

Seemed like sinterklaas also visited work over the weekend. We all had to place our shoe in the break-room and well all of them were gone. Zwarte piet had secretly hidden all the shoes, all over the place! And it was quit the search to find my own shoe, wich was hidden in some shelves… here are some of the filled shoes. We got this little piggy bank and poem.

I also took my photo of the day for today…but need to edit some of them. I had the honor to photograph my colleagues’ little boy Tigho, who was born three weeks ago. he’s such a little cutie with his pretty red hair! :) I will be back on Thursday to share the pics! See you then!! –x-

Mmm, have no clue what’s wrong??!!

Ok like 10 minutes ago, the power got shut down… probably cause we had the PC & EHD’s on, the dishwasher & the dryer.. and of course other things that are always on there like the refrigerator and hot-water boiler… anyways, it probably was a bit too much for the moment. I restarted my PC in the save mode and all was good, untill I tried to open my ACDSee photo manager pro 2 and it won’t work. I have no clue what to do next, since I already restarted the PC for the 2nd time and gave me the same error.

I still need to edit the photos from the sint nicolas surprise night and the others for Saturday and today, but that’s not working with it my photo manager… I hope the get it fixed tonight, or else I’ll probably sleep really bad, knowing it’s broken! :( So we’ll see how this goes. I’ll be back asap and no later then Tuesday… SYS -x-

Day # 334- 337: surprises…

Let me start with making a promiss to come back here tomorrow! We had a blast last night with sint nicolas surprise night. I loved all the gifts and all the surprise gifts everyone made and would love to show you all of them. But I don’t want to sit here all day, cause well…we’ve got plans for today! So I will be back to show you those tomorrow… I can already show you the ones we made.

First of Monday… we had an indoor soccer game and the honor to recieve our new clothes from a new sponsor. We got new game clothes, a trainings suit en new bags. It was so fun and I love our new look… Here’s a photo of us with the sponsor and his wife…

On Tuesday I finished my surprise gift for my dad… I made him this floating plane where he flew in a few weeks ago. It was almost and exact copy. Inside I had hidden two gifts…. Will tell you more about that tomorrow :)

Wednesday was a rainy day… two of the big kids from daycare were up when the others were sleeping. They wanted to play outside..in the rain! A few weeks ago we collected old rain boots from parents and bought a couple of umbrella’s.. So I told them to put on rain and shoes, put on their jackets and go jump in the rain puddles… They loved it!

On Thursday my sweet guy also finished his surpirse gift… He had my brothers GF and since they bought a new house, he made her a kitchen!!! She also loooved it. Appie had put a lot of work into it and so did I… The small details, most of the painting and some other ideas were done by me. But he did most of the work! I really looove how this kitchen turned out. Here they are, my guy & the kitchen…so you can see how big it was :)

Day # 327 – 33333333333333

So we’ve been busy preparing our gift suprises for saint nicolas en have got several other projects I finished… or almost finished. So I feel tons better when most of it is done, while knowing the holidays are coming up :) So let’s get this started!

Monday November 23rd… I finished my mom’s weekly planner, wich I made with Amy’s weekly planner kit at after five designs. I’m also making one for myself, but had to get some new cartirdges for my printer. I got those today, so hopefully I’ve got some time to continue mine this week… Anyways here’s my moms’, she loves it! :)

And a couple more shots….

Then for Tuesday… On Saturday I got this package from buzzer.nl. It’s a website where you can try out new things that aren’t in store yet. I already had the pleasure to try some chicken spices earlier this year and this time around it was… dark chocolate mouse… Boy this is sooo good and the intense flavour is delicious!!! In the pack I got 40 of these little cups (already gave half away and there’s still lots left in the fridge), some cute little cardboard boxes to put them in when giving them away and a game…. I mean don’t these colors and all, already give you a little taste of what they’re like?? LOL… They’re sooo good!

On Wednesday after soccer practice I took home these shirts. We put them on when playing a little game against eachother. One of the teams needs to wear these… This time I was one of the lucky one to put one on, but… they smelt awful and decided to take them home, since they don’t get washed every week… Now they’re clean and smell sooo muhc better! :)

On Thursday I received the first issue of this photography magazine. I signed up for a year for only €25, wich was very cheap. I bought it during the photography fair a fwe weeks ago and was so happy when I received it in the mail. It’s got lots of great ideas, tips & trics and much more. This month it came with an DVD about using flash..haven’t watched it yet…

Friday after work I had ameeting for a wedding shoot in Februari, but before I left I had to relax for a little bit. I made myself some yummy green tea with Jasmin from Rituals… It’s a bit expensive, but it’s soooo good and always gives me a relaxing feeling!

On Saturday it was sheepfest… an islam celebration. My SIL asked us to come over for diner and so we did. After diner our little niece Imane was laughing so loud, I went to take a look in their bedroom… She was acting all funny… Sometimes this girl is way too silly, she always makes me laugh. When I grabbed my camera to record that, she stopped right away with her sillyness and gave me this sweet face…

This morning I made us some french toast for breakfast… it was good and usually I could eat like 4 slices of bread. Since I’m still kind of on a diet I only ate three (see mom & dad, I do try!! :)) But man, I could’ve ate more of these… :) My guy easily eats away 5 of these and he is sooo thin! It’s not fair at all, he can always eat all he wants! :(

And then my weekend was almost over… Already??!! It was good though, but could always use a day more (or two) (or three). But luckily I’m only working 3 days this week after working 4 days for several weeks! Tomorrow after work we’re having diner at my MIL and at night I’ve got a soccer game. We’re supposed to be an hour early cause we got a new sponsor and will get getting new outfits and bags… I so can’t wait! So you can probably guess what my pic for tomorrow will be, right?? :)

Day # 323 - 326: faces…

So Today I’m going to show you my pics from the last couple of days, including today’s pic. :) But I only got faces to show you… from 1 week old to 13 years old…

Let’s start with Thursday photo… I went to see my colleague & her newborn baby boy Tigho. He is so small and cute, I planned to do a little shoot, but we decided to wait for another week or so… here he is 6 days old…

On Friday morning we went to see these little rabbit…well little, they are french long-ears and 7 weeks old. We didn’t had a lot of kids and so we went there… It was at a house of one of the other kids from daycare and their parents showed us the little bunnies. The kids loved it and all had one on their laps. here is Ruben, my colleagues son, holding one…he loved it!!

On Saturday afternoon we went to my cousin Robin’s birthday party…he turned 13 on the 11th. Boy he is getting big and almost as tall as I am. I can so remeber the day he was born!

Today we had another b-day party… my cousin’s BF Peter turned the BIG 30 (just like my guy) and celebrated today… after we had diner there, we put their little boy Quinn in bath. He had so much fun filling cups with water… I looove how this picture turned out! Look at those waterdrops.. my aunt (his GM) threw water on his head and he had so much fun, laughing…

One more, cause I loved the look on his face and those watery eye-lashes…sin’t he cute? he changed so much the past months and is such a sweet, funny little guy…

Well gotta go…promissed my guy to make him some coffee and he just made this comment that his mouth was dry… LOL, was that a hint?? Well see you all on Thursday :) -hugs- and have a great sunday night!-

Day # 316-322: 1 week, 7 days, 7 photos!

Ok exactly one week ago I blogged my last photos… My weekend and week have been pretty busy and just didn’t had the time… To be honest I don’t really have time now either, since I’ve got lots to do… editing photos from the wedding shoot of Nov. 6th, make suprise gifts (like big creative things where we hide the gifts in for our saitn nocilas celenbration, we both have to make one for…. ssst, sorry not telling you yet… family members read this too! LOL). Then… make personal relation cards for a friend, update my photography website and more. This afternoon I’ve got a phto shoot with one of my colleagues… she gace birth to a little boy on Saturday and so look forward to that. So no photo for today yet…

Now let’s get this thing going… Thursday: I took this photo of guy’s lens kit. He got this the same week I got my glasses. He usually wears glasses, but with kick-boxing he needs these. But… he never really wore them yet!!!! He tried them in twice, I think..but he finds it really hard to get them in and gives up pretty quickly. So I’m not sure he’s ever going to wear them and on top of that… I like him better with glasses! :)

Friday after work we had a soccer game.. when that was over we went to one of the girls’ house and had tons of fun… played on the WII, painted one of the girls’ hair and san karaoke!!! It was a blast… here are two of the girls singing their lungs out! :)

Saturday I went to this fun creative fair (crea-doe) and bought waaaaaay to much new goodies, for paper scrapping, painting and some pretty decorations… I brought my dad’s camera, but totally forgot to take a photo! At night I went out to diner with the girls from softball… I took a few photos and to be honest this isn;t the best one, but almost everyone is on there…

On Sunday we had a girls day with my friends, like we had a couple of weeks ago… the food was good, as always! Here’s a shot of our little high tea thing. chocolate fondue, fruits, bonbons, mini-cakes and more…

So as you can see I had a fun-filled weekend, but sunday night I was truly exhausted!! And on Monday of course I had to work…

After work I went to the lady who made me those cute crochet hats…she finsihed the baby-bags and a crochet wrap and went to pick them up… They are so cute and I love the colors. I pciked out the fabrics myself, the day we went shopping for them. I really like how they turned out and can’t wait to try them out. I did tried one of them out on one of the kids from daycare and it looked adorable… but today I hopefully get to try the boy one out on Tigho..my colleagues little newborn.

On Tuesday night we had a relaxing night together… while he was playing online poker I worked on my weekly planner. Can’t show you yet, but I can show you the fun goodies I bought at the creative fair last weekend…alphabets, flowers, paper things, ribbons, brads, shiny gems and lots more…

Yesterday I finished my little project I started at work… I made this boat with sinterklaas (saint nicolas). Eevery year we celebrate sinterklaas at daycare, since it’s kind of a children’s celebration. The kids always love it… next week all the kids get to bring a shoe and in the week of dec. 4th we will fill them with candy & a little gift. (well ‘sinterklaas’ does that…LOL) Some of the kids helped me with coloring the ‘zwarte pieten’ and the little packages… I love how the boat turned out :) what do you think?

Well I’m going to have breakfast and get going with my to-d0-list, cause it’s huge!! LOL Will see you all soonish! –hugs-

Day # 310-315: wedding & more…

So let’s start right away…

Friday I had my third wedding shoot for this lovely couple. She is a sister of one of the moms from daycare. The couple looked beautiful…she in her pretty brown wedding dress and he in a matching creme-isch suit. It wa a great day and luckily the weather was pretty ok. I mean the sun was hiding most of the day, but we didn’t had any rain! First we went to their house and the day-guests came over…after that we went to this castle for the wedding. We had a little shoot first and ruing the day we took some more pretty shots. Right now the newly weds are on a honeymoon to Marrakech and I’m kind of jealous! LOL. Anyways here I two photos I really love. They haven’t seen them yet, but I did send them a little previw, but not sure wether they seen them, since they are on honeymoon. But I want to show you these anyway…here we go:

They had these cute pink heart shaped umbrella wich we took some photos with…and I adore this close-up..aren’t they a pretty, happy-in-love looking couple? :)

On Saturday I didn’t do anything exciting… stayed home most of the day and had diner at my BIL and his family. While staring out the window I noticed this X on the tree right outside our window… X marks the spot, right?? Well it does. Since they’re renovating the appartment buildings here and the scenery around it. The city people decided to take down some trees. This tree makred with an X is going down one day too. On one hand I don’t really care, since we’re planning to move asap and well sometimes when it’s really windy it scares me… the branches sometimes hit the window and I’m kind of scared of this whole tree coming down and smashing into our appartment! On the other hand, when the tree is filled with leaves… it stops the sun from coming in in the morning, wich saves a lot of warmth…espceially during summer. There’s this one lady who lives around here who filed a complaint againts all these trees going to be cut down. But I’m sure the people from the city will listen. We’ll see!

On Sunyday my guy and I went to the movies. We saw Micheal Jackson’s ‘This is it’. It was great, but had a bit of different expectations from it. But I’m glad we went to see it. It’s only in the theatre form a couple of weeks…

Monday while I work two of the kids from the after-school-daycare came over to drop of something I ordered. Every year kids from the two highest classes of primary school go door-to-door to ask if people want to buy ‘ kinderpostzegels’ (children postage stamps) . A part of the income of all the stamps sold goes to a different project every year. But mainly ‘for children by children. Mainly for education in third world country’s. It’s a great cause and my mom always used to buy some (she probably still does). I think this is the 4th year I bought them and today I got them. Every year the stamps are drawn by a different artist and thyey’re always different and unique.

On Tuesday I work a few hours in the afternoon and when I got home…there was a package from Colinda… the lady who already made me this cute baby boy chrochet hat. This time the package included two hats… one for girls (same as the boy one) and one simple green one wich is supposed to go with this baby cocoon she also made. Haven’t received the cocoons yet, but I did saw them on photo. She wanted me to check if these were the right sizes again :) Aren’t they cute?

Yesterday (wednesday) when I got at work I saw this…

Two weeks ago we got these walking sticks… sadly all of the ones we had died. It was kind of sad and had no clue how this had happened. I went to this forum and asked what I did wrong… It probably had been the leaves I gave them…they were to hard for them to eat. So after I got some more info I went back to the pet shop and asked if they still had any left. Well they DID and I got the last bunch…8 of them. These looked a lot bigger & stronger then the ones we had before! They started eating right away… except when I first got to work and looked at them I only found 6… seemed that 2 were hiding behind a leave… uhm making out!!! So that means tomorrow or on Monday I’m going to find tiny eggs at the bottom of their house :) Isn’t that fun? I know the kids are going to love it! :)

I haven’t took a photo for today yet, but will do later on. Haven’t got a whole lot planned this afternoon, but we’ll see! This weekend is going to busy though…

Tomorrow after work I’ve got a soccer game and after that we’re going over to one of the girls’ house and play some games. I decided to spend the night with my brother and his GF, since I need to get up prety early for the saturday. I’m going to this creative fair with my aunt and two of her friends. But since I don’t want to drive home at night and head back there early in the morning I’m going to spend the night there… Although I’ll miss my guy not laying next to me, but I’ll be fine! LOL Then after the fair I’m going home to put on my party clothes cause I got this diner with the girls from softball.

Sunday I think I’m going to deliver the wedding album I made for the wedding I had in June… but not sure since I haven’t talked to them yet. I had send the album back since it had a mistake and it took like two weeks to get it back. Last night it finally got here and want to wrap this up asap… although not sure if it will be sunday. cause in the afternoon I’ve got this day with the girls again (like a we had two months ago) and promissed to make tiny cupcakes for that too… so we’ll see! I’m outta here for now and with all these plans I have no clue when I’ll be back to post here.. so we’ll see!

Day # 305-309: fair, glasses, fabrics & memories

So yesterday my weekend already started!! I only worked two days this week, Mon- & Wednesday... I took tomorrow off since I'm having my third wedding shoot and so can't wait. The couple that's going to marry tomorrow, is so sweet! She is a sister of one of the mom's from daycare and the 2 little ones who both go to my group at daycare are the brideskids...I know it's going to be fun, I only hope the weather will be good and dry! It looks like it's going to be dry during the day, so yeaaah! But just to make sure I'll do a little sun dance before I leave in the morning...haha

Sunday Day #305 I went to this photography fair close by. It was fun!! Only a little smaller then last year. I bought a Falcon eyes background support with 50% off!! Then there were lots of fun happenings you could take photos of like; street dancer, people who jumped trampolines, body painted ladies, fashion shows and lots more... I have tons of photos, but haven't really had the time to have a closer look, so I'll just leave it with this...

Sunday while I was at this fair, the people called where I bought my glasses and told me it was ready!! I was a little nervous about the fact wether I still liked it... but I'm good! Monday I started wearing it to work and soccer and also showed it to my parents and everyone liked it!! Here's me and my first ever glasses!!

On Tuesday I went to see this lady who made me this cute baby hat for my photography.. we went to this fabric store to pick out some new things for the next projects. It was so much easier to see what it looked like and felt...They had so much choice from kind of fabrics to tons of colors...single colors and with several colors... check it out:

here are a couple of colors I really liked and took a photo, so if I want another project and need colors, I can tell this lady wich ones I want.. the greenish/grey colored fabrics on the left are the ones we bought for a cute baby bag... the green under it is for a matching simple hat...

Yesterday when we got home from having diner at my parents' there was this little package in the mail... On August 24th I've read this story on one of my fav. digiscrap forums about this woman who passed away from breast cancer. She was diagnosed and a few weeks after they found out she was pregnant... Little Chloe born a few weeks premature, but did great and still is... Sadly Sara died a few after giving birth to little Chloe.

When I saw that thread I headed to their blog ' the sullivans'. The whole story made my cry and I decided to donate a little amount of money to the 'Sara Sullivan memorial fund'. I've been follwing Brady and the little Chloe ever since trough the blog and I must say that he is one strong & proud daddy!

Anyways a few weeks ago I've read the story about the fact they made these memory bands in memory of Sara. The post said that all contributors to the memorial fund would get a couple, but I never thought about the fact I was one of those contributors. The package I received contained two of these red memory bands with the text: ' Soli Deo Gloria' - Sara Sullivan

Today was (well still is) a rainy Thursday and kind of stayed inside all day...the only thing I went outside for, was to get some food for diner. Ohter then that I sat behind my pc; scrapping, listened to music, played some online poker (my guy draw me over the line, with his new addiction!!!), blogging and browsing the net... Oh yeah I did do the laundry, yeah for me!! Anyways on these like this I love to light some yummy smelling canldes and just relax! I bought a few new ones last week... the cotton one is burning in the bedroom and I've put this 'sea grass' one right here on my desk! :)

Mmmmmm.......

I think that's about if for now... got some fun things ahead. The wedding tomorrow and this saturday it's international digital scrapbooking day and I think all I'll be doing all day is shop online (if my PP money gets here in time) and scrap! See you all soon -x-

Day #300-304: Fun things

Wow peeps another day in for the records...only 65 more days to go, well 61 after this post! :)

So let's kick this off with Tuesday DAY# 300!! This is the 300th page from our Quran and I can tell you, I'm not even close to reading page 300. I'm so not a reader, unless it's a magazine, but books and such are just not my thing!

Wednesday I worked and two of the kids (sisters) brought these cute characters. They (prod. mom & dad) made these after a fun trip in the forrest... collected these and made these fun things. They were so proud to show us these :) aren't they cute? Now try to spot the rabbit..hehe

On Thursday it was my weekly day off and went shopping for a bit at the garden centre. With the new balcony I wanted some new plants...when I got to the register I saw this bracelet. October is breast cancer awareness month... And with buying this bracelet you support the pink ribbon foundation. I already donated some money this month, but just had to buy this... I support pink ribbon! This bracelet is pink/soft pink and grey with all these cute charms...

Thursday I got this cute little crochet hat in the mail... I wanted some of these cute hats as photo propts and placed this ad at this site were you can sell things...kind of like e-bay, but a little different. The next morning I already 16 people who were willing to help me out. I picked chowy handmade since they have a lot of different things and it looked great. This lady is so nice and wants to know excatly what I'm looking for, what colors, what sizes...she's great!! So this was the first hat she made for me (I payed for it off course) and I soooo love it. Today (Friday) at work I tried it on one of our little ones and it looks truly adorable!! So what do you think...this is for a boy and also want one for a girl and a couple of other things. After I'm done with this blog post I'm going to send her some info about wich fabrics and all I want for a kind of baby cocoon... I'm so happy I found someone who can make these and it's not expensive at all!

Saturday day # 304, today I cleaned out the meter cupboard... Last week they replaced the old one with a newer, better one. But the closet was filled with plastic bags, shopping bags and this little plastic bag filled with things from when I was little... I used to have this cute pink/blueish plastic tableware and along with it I had these little tins, which were filled with sugar, flour and things like that and played I was a cook...and had my own lil tea house or something like that. I found these when cleaning out the closet. I threw away some of the things that were in the bag, but I'm so not sure about these... They are really old and I think they're so cute. But they're a bit dirty..one of them has sticked sugar all over the inside, hehe! I just don't know what to do with these...but I think I'm going to hold on to them a bit longer! LOL

So I haven't got a photo for today yet, but I'm sure I'll heva enough when I get back this afternoon. My plan it to go to this photography fair, although not really sure sure I want to go by myself... I asked a couple of friends to come along, but they're all busy and had plans. I know I was a little late asking them...so we'll see. But thinking about it right now, I'm going for sure!!!

Day #294-299: tomorrow marks Day #300!!

Wow peeps, only 66 days left till the end of this project... I still haven't decided wether I'm going to continue this next year. But we'll see at the end of the year! :)

So lets' start with Wednesday, day #294...me and some of the kids at daycare made this huge necklace with colored beads. They loved and Sanne here had to show it off :)

On Thursday I went shopping for scrapbook things and while at the shopping centre I decided to take an eye-test. I've been having headaches when sitting at the pc for a while and just had to check... This is one of the machines that I had to sit at.. I hated that thing, with the puff of air blowing in my eye! Yuck...

I'll tell you how that went in a bit...

So on Friday we didn't had a lot of kids and so we went to the building-playground for a bit in the afternoon. Ruben here (my colleagues' son) was playing with this water pump... He needed all his stenght to make it work and look at that tongue sticking out of his mouth while trying to get water out of it...LOL

Saturday, today my guy went back to the shopping mall, to pick out a pair of glasses... FOR ME!!!! I'm so not sure about this wearing glasses. But I don't need to wear them all the time... Only when driving, sitting at the PC or when I'm watching tv. It was so hard to pick one, but the lady there said, I have a face wich goes with lots of glasses... So here's the one I picked out. The color isn't really clear on this photo, since I forgot to use my flash. It's kind of bronze colored and I think it's simple, but nice! :)

Sunday I didn't do a whole lot... I worked on my new hybrid (=digital & paper scrapbooking combined) project and here are some of the goodies..with a highlight on my awsome, handy, but little expensive crop-a-dile. I've only punched holes with it so far, but already love it!!!!!

Today I worked and had a little shoot with a couple of kids. here's Mike, I had a shoot with him and his family a while ago. He's such a cute boy, but man those big boys can make so much noise and they really know how to make us tired and drive us a bit crazy sometimes! Our Monday group has a lot of 3+ kids, so they can be so loud and busy all together...pffhew!

So that's it... going to make my guy start on diner, cause I got a soccer game tonight at 22.10!! Serious, who planned this, it sucks and it's way too late! I'll be home around 24 at the latest, hopefully!!!!! And then I have to work tomorrow... This is going to be a busy, long and exhausting week for sure! Will see you all soon! Day # 288 - : FUN pics...

So let's continue where I left of the last time... On Thursday I worked an extra day at daycare, on another group instead of my own. On Tuesday & Thursday my sweet colleague Lista, always bring her girl to work...but since I don't always work those days, I don't see her a lot. So when I do I have to take a photo!! When we were outside, she was sitting in the stroller and had so much fun. Either she was laughing with us, or AT us!! LOL, but she has this cute contagious laugh...isn't she adorable??!! Little Anouk...

On Friday, during my break I went to the animal store and got us some... walking sticks (branches, or how ever you call them! LOL) We used to have fish at our group at daycare, but latetly I was done with those..since I'm the one who cleans the tank and all... So a couple of the kids got to pick between turtles and these... abviously they choose these, although I'm sure they had no clue what I was talking about...hehe. Anyways they love them so far and since we have a couple of brave little boys, they had to hold them for a minute...

On Saturday my dad went flying in a small motorized hover plane. My mom, aunt & i went along... and you'll probably know why I went along, right??? photos!! Sadly we were too late to saw him getting up, since my aunt & I missed and exit on the highway. But we were there when he landed. It was a big watery cold, but so much fun! He loved and had this big smile on his face when they landed... It was so fun.. I just don't hope he will see a new hobby in this, since he quit racing!!

On Sunday I had this fun 3-camp softball tournament against two of our men teams from softball.. My intention was to take tons of photos, but I kind of forgot! LOL... After diner we went to the casino and came back with almost the same amount of money we left with (except for 20 euros!) And I didn't wanted to brign my camera there, so after diner I decided to take this photo... My favorite brand of peanut butter. Really when I lived with my parents, mom spoiled me with always having 'calve', so till this day and all the days to come, I only put this brand on my bread and sometimes I sprinkle a little brown sugar on it... got that from dad! hihi. here it is, the one and only...

Last week they finished our balcony with the new fencing and I totally forgot to show you...till now :) I like it.. it's silver painted on the long side and the small sides are with matt glass... way, way, way better then the old ugly green thing with the rotten wood beam... so this is a great improvement!

Today I started on a fun new hybrid project, although I can't just tell you yet... Cause it's going to be a christmas present for someone really special!! But I can tell you, it's going to be sooo pretty!..at least I hope it will turn out the way I've got it in my head! ha

So I didn't took a photo yet, untill the doorbell rang!! Yeah, that one thing I've been waiting on all day...so I kind of gave up hope and thought it would be here tomorrow. That poor package deliverer worked his a** off and my package came after 19.00! But it's here and I'm so proud...it's THE WEDDING ALBUM for Mathieu & Marina, who I did the wedding photography for on June 27th. I finished the album at the end of August, but since their little girl arrived that week, it took a little longer then I hoped. But it's here and it turned out amazing... You can say I'm a little proud! :) Sadly I can't show you the pages, since I want them to see it first... so I'll just show you the first page, wich was their wedding invitation and the silver looking cover... here ya go...

So there they are... covered till today! Yoohoo :) Now I'm going to relax and browse the internet for a bit... before I'm going to watch CSI! :) Have a great day/night and will probably see you this weekend! -x-

Day # 284-287: not so interesting!

I'm writing this in between my fav. tv-shows ( cold case & without a trace) during the commercial breaks...we don't have as much breaks as in the states, but they last a bit longer. I don't have anything exciting to mention here and will just post my pics from Sunday through Thursday and will blog the others on Tuesday probably, but I can give you guys a lil' sneak peek of what's coming: Friday we got these phasmids (walking stick insects) at daycare and the kids love them so far... Today my father went hover flying, wich was so cool to see and he loved it... But will keep it fast & simple today, so will post those pics on Tuesday on my day off...

So first my pic from last Sunday... Since our balcony is being renovated, miss buddha stands in the kitchen right now. I got this buddha from my aunt for one of my birthdays (I think it was last year) and she stands on her balcony... when it gets dark the little built-in lamp starts to lights. She charges herself with sunlight :)

Did you know I love chocolate...well I know I'm on a diet but sometimes I got to have a little piece. My favorite is the dark chocolate but tonight I felt for some white 'drops of heaven" (like from a friends episode...LOL) Only two little blocks were good enough...it was just for the taste. My guy at the rest of this! :)

Tuesday I had my weekly day off and drank my favorite tea all morning... 'Lipton's Morocco tea'. We usually make our own moroccan tea, but didn't had any mint in the house...

Wednesday after work I payed the bills and things like that. And decided to clean up some papers too. I always run them through the paper cutter before throwing everything away. At the end I collected a big box op ripped paper...

Well this was quick and only needed one commercial break... although cold case got back and I'm still sitting here. So I'm going to say good night and enjoy the rest of your weekend!! See ya Tuesday! -x-

Day # 275 - 283 : you probably won't believe me...

when I say, that this won't happen again!! I suck at blogging the past month or so and I feel a bit quilty... I've been putting it off like I did last time... phffff, what can I say?? LOL Let's just forget about this whole thing and start this upcoming huge blogpost...

Friday day #275, the day before my guy's big 30th birthday party. His b-day present...A friend's husband had to get some things from a sports shop and he told us he got a discount on everything there. And since my guy started kick-boxing a few weeks ago, he wanted gear. And so he got this set of leather gloves, leg-protectors & a teeth protecor. We got it for almost 50% off... and he loves it!!

Then Saturday was the BIG party!! It was so fun... I had got all these '30' decorations to put up, he was really suprised, made all these yummy snacks and also had this choclate fondue fountain. For an extra little gift, I made him this list : 'why it isn't so bad to turn 30...and why it is! He loved... I also gave him three flying laterns, each of them counted for ten years and he could make a wish...but... The weather sucked! It rained and the wind was to heavy, so we didn't let them up in the air. We still haven't yet, so when the weather is ok one of these days, we will!! The party was great...wanna see my birthday boy with his big 30 button?

That night, I was sick again...and it sucked!!! Sunday morning I felt sooo bad and awful and was so dissapointed. I was supposed to have this big family tournement at softball, but just couldn't even stand on my feet. Guess I should've listened to my body more, before I started to go back to work on Friday... anyway, I layed on the couch all freakin' day and just couldn't really eat. In one day I lost 1.4 kilo's from throwing up and all... but the next day it was back though! LOL

So instead of some fun photo, I took this one... Lately with fall coming up, I'm really into these patterned clothing...my fav. clothing colors at the moment are purple, grey & blue... here's one of my new blouses with a cute pattern...

Since I still felt awful and still threw up that night, I decided to stay home on Monday...again! I kept shaking in the morning and just had to sleep it off!

Anyway Monday was my guy's official 30th birthday, so I wanted to make him a nice diner... But since we didn't really went grocery shopping, other then for his party, I had to get out and get some meat. I wanted to take his photo, but he didn't want too... He said: you already have one of me from saturday. Well ok, then I'll take a photo of the cards he got for his b-day :) There were more, but I loved these since they said: 30!! haha

On Tuesday I had to babysit our little 2nd cousin Quinn. My cousin Sylvia started working and getting an intern education the hospital close by. She loves it, the only problem is that she doesn't has a daycare spot (she will in January though), so she asked the family if we could all now and then babysit for a day. So this Tuesday was my day. At first I wanted to call it off, since I was sick, but the poor little Quinn didn't felt that good either. He was so sweet! In the morning we watched some tv since some guys came to install a new boiler for wamr water. Later in the morning we colored, ate cookies & went for a walk to the playground... Can I tell you that there aren't any fun playgrounds here?? It sucks! Near my work there are at least 15 in the small area and here...nothing!! So instead we went looking at the workers who were making the streets wich were also very intersting! LOL Got some grocery's and the highlight of this day must have been watching the tram (train) coming by, cause that was all he talked about after we got home... He loved it!!

After we both had a nap for an hour (we slept in the big bed :)) we had a snack and went for another walk in the parc, looking for leaves and little flowers for mommy! After we got back I tried to have a little shoot with him, but little mister didn't want to. Although I did took one photo I love...

On Wednesday I had no clue for my photo for the day...so after I took off my new, pretty, bling-bling necklace, I had it! here it is:

Since fall started I gets dark soooo early.. on one hand I like it, cause I love to relax in front of the tv covered with a soft blankie, but on the other hand I just don't. Thursday around 18.30 it started to get dark...a little early but this probably happened b/c there was some rain coming up. And just before that, the sky looked like this... On the left it was still clear when the sun went under, but on the right you can see that the clouds were piling up

Friday night I went to the couple I shot the wedding pics for in June. I already finished their wedding album, but since the baby was born it got a bit late. I already finished it before the end of August, so I was happy I finally got to show them. They loved it, so now all I have to do is get it printed! :) When I drove back home and turned to enter the highway, I started pooring like crazy!!! Really, it was a scary and so hard!!! I tried to take a photo when driving, but I think you could say...this is the worst picture I took... EVER!! haha. But I didn't have time to change settings, since I needed both eyes to watch the road :)

Then on Saturday it was national open house day and I've looked forward to this for weeks. Lots of houses wich are for sale had open house and you could just go there and view the house. We picked out a few houses we liked, took the tom-tom and off we went...Uhm not... Since their were working on several roads (in the weekend for G's sake!!) there were traffic jams all over our little town. eevery exit to the next city was blocked with rows of cars wanting to get out of IJsselstein. We tried every road (4) we could think of, but none of them had a quick way out!! I sucked! So we stayed in IJsselstein and looked at houses there...well houses, only one!! haha

When we drove to the last possible escape, I saw this street name I regonized from when I did the big search and then we saw the house, wich was on sale! We drove on to the exit, but had to turn around cause that road was closed... So when we drove back, we both said...hey, let's just look at this one first! And I guess it was some sort of sign, or they just wanted us to check out this house... and so we did!!! We loved and got a great tour around the house. It was perfect and everything was beautiful. The house was done... had a pretty kitchen, enough rooms, a lovely bathroom, a backyard and a roof terrace!! We both fell in love... after we checked the book for the price!!! Now I knew why this house wasn't on my final list!! Like I said we're both in love...but don't want to cross our maximal price mark...casue then the monthly costs would be too high...sigh!

You know what's worse... I even dreamed about us living in that house last night!!!! I love it... I just checked the house online and saw it is for sale for over 6 months. So maybe, just a tiny little maybe, they will lower the price so we can afford it...just maybe! Cause sadly we didn't won the lottery last night! :( I'll get in touch with our advisor and see what he thinks. If, if... he gives us an okay to put up and offer, I will be so happy! If not....

I'll just keep on dreaming!!!!

Day # 266 - : have been putting it off...and now it's Oct. 1st!

The past couple of weeks have been crazily busy and just didn't had time to update my blog here. Last weekend I've been home for like 2 hours a day and when I got home late at night, I was too tired...like I also was on Monday & Tuesday. I worked both days, but there was something that made me feel yucky...everything hurted, had a bad headache and was sooo tired. So yesterday I decided to stay home from work after sitting on the toilet half of the night. A little stomach bug or aoemthing has hit me! In the morning I was so shaky and felt like a sack of nothing! It sucked! I layed on the couch all day long and didn't even scrapped... The only thing I did in the afternoon was putting up some of my fall decorations... Been wanting to do that for over a week, but like with everything else, I didn't have time. Today I feel a bit better and don't have a fever anymore, only my head hurts like ****, so I'm glad today is my weekly day off. Tomorrow I'm going back to work and right now... I'm going to get this ball rolling after a long week of not posting my P365 photos! Here we go...

Wednesday 23rd, day #266... I ordered something online for my guys birthday, bu I can't tell you what yet. Cause I know he sometimes reads this too and don't want to spoilt the suprise... Hun if you're reading this... haha, yeah I got a little surpirse for ya :) With that package I also got this cute little ducky to put on a key. The other ducky keychain I got from one of the kids from daycare, for day of the teacher! :)

Day # 267, for weeks I wanted to stop on my way home from work by these cornfields..but never did. Wednesday I noticed that some fields were already gone and reaped..but forgot my camera that day and so I went back the next day!

Friday after work I stopped by the pumpkin stand. This lady sells pumpkins & calabashes every year and I always buy some for my fall decorations. I love all the colors and that each pumpkin or calabash had it's own pattern, colors & shapes. I bought 12... 10 small ones (5 for Angela) and 2 bigger ones. She had her stand ready for over a month, but I felt it wasn't time to set up my fall decorations yet. Anymore here is her beautiful stand...

On Saturday I had a busy day... First I went to watch our little cousin Robin's baseball game, then I went grocery shopping for Sunday's high tea and later that afternoon I went to my colleagues Bahia...we went to the market, Abdel and I had diner there, drank some moroccan tea, took photos of her newly printed GC for her website & decorated the cabins in her manicure/pedicure salon. It was a fun but busy day...here's Robin And a photo of the GC for Bahia's website...

Then on Sunday we had this hight tea with some old girlfriends from 'de Bilt'...the city I grew up in and where my parents still live. It was so fun and we had a blast chatting up and everything. First we had a sweet hight tea with: brownies, chocolate fondue with fruits, petit fours, cake and bonbons..Mmmm. Later after we had a walk and little shoot in the parc we had an afternoon tea... We had three kinds of sandwiches, filled pastry's, salad and cold veggies. It was so good!!! We decided to do this more often and planned another day in November... here we are having a little shoot in the parc, we had a blast!

Oh yeah, you know what I for got to do... take photos of the table with all that yummy stuff and our pretty table decorations! How stupid?! Anyway on to Monday...

On Monday after work, we had this 'tupperware' party at my colleague Mieke's place. My mom and aunt also came over and bought some nice storage containers. The mean reason I wanted to go is because of this baking thing and I was lucky... It was on sale!! I bought two other things. When my order gets here, I'll show you what I bought, but for now just a photo of the catalogue, the invitation, my order sheet & this little gift. We all got to pick out a little gift and I choose this thing to take out hot egges from the pan :)

I love candles, especially these scented ones... I love it when my house smells yummy. I recently look at yankee candles and they look great, but the price tag is a bit too much for me. This particulair candle was a gift from one of the kids from daycare for my b-day and I love it. I'm going to check wether they have more flavours, but I'm sure they do! :)

Yesterday I decorated the house, well the living room anyway. I've out up some of my cute fall decorations and I love how turned out :) here's my photo for the day and two other ones I like :)

Now for today's photo... A few minutes ago my friend Angela left. She came over for a bit to cheer me up, so sweet! She brought a box of chocolates she got at work. We had a silly mood and had cut them all in two pieces, with the idea to have a bite out of all of them! LOL Well we did tasted almost every single one, there were about 15 or so. Some were pretty good, but some weren't that yummy...so after a tiny bit of tasting we threw them out! LOL And this was the ultimate test for my stomach bug and well..kept it all inside..hehe Anyway here they are...

We wouldn't have done this with expensive chocolates though...LOL. see here's what we tossed out: Humm they don't look that good anymore, do they? haha

Well gotta go now, cause this post took up way too much time. Spend half an hour before A got here and well 20 minutes till now. I got to go make diner now...healthy diner that is! Cause I have to make up for the chocolates I eat today! But the weight loss is still going ok, I lost 2.4 so far! :) Yeah for me :)

Day #260 - 265: Only 100 days left!

Today is Day #265, that means there are only 100 more days left for project 265, 2009!! I can't believe the end is getting closer. I mean I can remember day #1 when I started this project...

Anyway let's get to the photos, cause there are a lot of them! Thursday I started making cookies for the sugarfest, for when the Ramadan is over... I made my famous peanut/chocolate cookies. I mean really, everyone loves these and always ask for them! Someone even say, they are like little drops of heaven... Uhm oh no, that is from an episode of 'friends', but it could be true! LOL

The filling is from peanuts, honey, cinnamon, biscuits and condensed sweet milk. Covered with milk chocolate on one side and white with 100% pure chocolate on the other...Mmmm

Friday's are my tv nights and I always try to kick my guy out of the house... Ok, most of the times he goes out to see his friends, so I made this night, my tv night. Usually I fault the laundry and watch Law & order, SVU... Tonight was the same, I only didn't fault the laundry, but started on the decoration for Anouk's 1st birthday cake for tomorrow... I colored the fondant and made little flowers, letters and such...This is what my table looked like:

Saturday, Today was Anouk's (my colleagues' girl) first birthday party and made her a little cake, all for herself. It looked so cute and Lista loved it... Not sure about Anouk though. She laughed when Lista had put the cake on the table, but she want smiling anymore after she tried it. First she had put her hands in it and started screaming that her fingers were dirty!! OMG, she hates getting them dirty & sticky! LOL When we gave her a spoon and had cute the cake open, she tried one bite... Yeah only one and almost spit it out again...It was so funny!! But luckily my colleague did like it and she ate the inside cake the day after... Here is a photo of the cake and a few of miss dont'-like-to-get-my-hands-dirty!

Then on Sunday it was SUGARFEST (eid ul-Fitr), that marks the end of the ramadan... We had breakfast/brunch over my m=inlaws and there were lots of sweets & cookies... It was fun. But in between breakfast and diner, we were kind of bored. So my SIL and our niece Imane went to this bazar kind of market... Here are Najima & Imane, right before Imane went into this big swing thing.

Then while waiting for diner, I took some photos of the nieces... they loved it and we had a lot of fun. here's one of the 4 of them. From left to right: Ilhem, Aya, Imane & Aya...the outer two are sisters...(Oh yeah notice we have two aya's...LOL, one of my BIL's forgot that his little niece also got that name when he regsitered her for birth! They are almost the same age also... hehe)

Then Monday morning when driving to work, the weather report wanred for a foggy morning. Well I can tell you, it was! The sun was still coming up and there was this thick layer of fog hanging over the meadow land...

Today, I was supposed to had this photo shoot in the afternoon. But one of my colleagues called in sick this morning and they couldn't find a replacer... So I've decided to go to work at 14.00. I'll have to cancell the shoot with the nieghbours, but I'm sure they don't mind...since the weather isn't that nice also and we can probably reschedule this to Thursday! So instead of a photo from the shoot, I took this one from a beautiful autumn bouquet. We got this from the opening of Abdel's new company building and just love the flowers and colors in this bouquet :)

Tonight I've also got first aid class at work, so I'll have diner there...wich means I don't have to cook tonight! I wish you all a wonderful day and will see you soon... -xo-

Day # 255 - 259: party, cleaning, sports & new logo

So here I am... To be honest I didn't feel like blogging today, since I've got a few other things in my head at the moment. We've been having this struggle/argument with the telcom company and they sure have some sort of plate in front of their heads and keep sending us one way, back to the other!! Wefinally made some progress today, but these people make me sooo mad!

I've also got a busy day planed today... I started making cookies for sugarfest this weekend. The ramadan is alsmost over... Then this afternoon I'm going to my guys' job, since they're having the opening of the new company building...from then I'll be driving to my parents to have diner there and have go this soccer game at 7 PM tonight...Anyway let's get on to the photos, before my blogging mood passes...

Saturday our little 2nd cousin Quinn turned two... time if really flying by. He enjoyed himself and loved to open the presents. He got this little motor from his parents and drove on it, through the whole house... Our lil' birthday boy:)

On Sunday we cleaned the house, especially the bedroom and the closet. I mean we have/had so many clothes we don't wear anymore and the closet was going to explode any day now! LOL. So after we were done, we threw away 5 garbage bags of clothes and the closet looked good and cleaned...kind of like this:

On Monday after work & diner, I had a indoor soccer game. I asked one of the girls' BF to take a photo..he took three! LOL One of wich the girl (his GF) on the bottom only had a head. The second was blurry and moved and the third one, is this... Really, are all the kids like this? Mine is! LOL

On Tuesday after I showered & dressed, I decided to take a photo of myself. For the record to see the difference on my face after loosing weight. Oh btw, I already lost 1.6 kilo's since I started :)

yesterday at work, there was pie & cupcakes... The company I work at decided we needed a new logo. I think it's weird, since we only had the older one or two years... Anyway. The kids got these cupcakes and we all got pie with the new logo on it also...

That's it for now... going to finish the first part of my cookies with peanuts and two kinds of chocolate. I'm favous for them and everyone loves them. But well..they are soo bad for me! LOL

Day # 249-254: got some catching up to do...

after a long and busy week! It was a good week though and still keeping up with my diet thing, although I have to admit I had an off day yesterday and will tell you all about that later on...

First on Sunday we celebrated my mom's birthday, my aunts' friend had picked these flowers when walking the dog during the evening.. Passion flowers...

I totally forgot to take a photo of the birthday girl, and the only pictures I took were these flowers, the sky and all the guys smoking sigars, my cousin brought home from Cuba... But I liked this one best :)

Monday morning at daycare the kids wanted to color... but some pencils really needed sharpening and so I did. One of the kids threw over the tank were all this stuff was in and left a huge stain on my white jeans..ouch. Luckily it came out! :)

On Tuesday one of our little girls turned two. When we celebrate their birthday with them, they get to sit on this cute b-day chair, wearing a hat (wich I made, isn't it cute? :)) and of course they get to pick out a present... Femke choose this cute beaded necklace :)

On wednesday I didn't had any photos from work I could use and decided to take a photo of my scale. I try not to stand on it everyday, or else it will drive me nuts! This morning btw, it said I lost 0.8 kilo! yoohoo...

On Thursday Angela and I went to the movies during the day... We're both not really thriller fans and or hero's. So honestly I have no clue why we went to this movie, 'Final destination 4' IN 3D!!! LOL I can tell you we sometimes closed our eyes, we we knew things would 'fly' at us... But it was a good movie, since it was part 4. We did saw all the others already and to be honest some parts were kind of pretictable, but it was ok... the worst part was that we had to wear these ugly, big 3D glasses... LOL. Don't we look good, uhm I mean idiot?? hihi

Last night we had a goodbye party for one of my colleagues bahia at her place. She started her own pedicure salon months ago and right now she has so many customers she couldn't combine her two day job and her own salon anymore. So she's leaving us after 7 years! I know we're all going to miss her! But we decided to still hang out sometimes, like going to the market on saturday and maybe next week to this fair... She hosted a BBQ at her place and for desert we had chocolate fondue...not much of a diet, right? LOL. Well it was good and that's what counts! hehe. Before some of us left, we took a photo of all the colleagues... let me introduce to you all:

Day #248: Happy B-day mom & party pics.

Before I'm going to tell you how much fun we had at the festival yesterday I want to...

Congratulate my sweet mom with her 54th birthday!!! Happy birthday mom and hope we'll have a wonderful day today! This afternoon she's celebrating it with family & friends... I already send her a little message on hyves (kind of like a dutch facebook) and will call her in a bit too! Uhmm, well hold on...going to call her right now! Yeah, I sang to her...but just a little part, she wants to hear the whole song this afternoon! So I think I should clear my throat, cause it's kind of uch, uch from the shouting yesterday! LOL.. Well have a fab day mom and we'll see ya in a bit!

Now on to the lief (sweet= is the translation for lief!) festival, it rocked!!! The weather was beautiful (luckily NO rain), the music was awsome, the people were great and we had a lot of FUN!!! We went with my guy, my sweet BFF Angela, my brother Melvin & his GF Kiki, and a couple more friends from our soccer team and friends from my brother. I also met two old GF's Laurie & sarah from primary school, wich was so fun! And then of course lots of other people we know, cause well it was close by... Next year we're going again!!! For sure!! :)

Now on to the pictures... First my photo for the day, the lief logo on the entrance. Oh yeah, there was one thing, that kind of sucked! We waited an hour in line, before we finally got in!!! But we quickly forgot all about that after we heard those awsome dance vibes & sounds!

It was fun... we got home around 11 PM, the party was from 11AM - 11 PM, but we left a bit earlier since our feet hurt and well if we waited till the end.. It would've been real crowded, busy and a long traffic jam to get off the party area!

Day # 245 - 247: stuff you put in your mouth

Isn't always as healthy as we think. I've been browsing the internet to check calories for a couple of things I love to eat & drink and sometimes I was a bit shocked. I did this for myself and my whole weight loss journey... There was one thing I want to share!

The LIGHT chocolate milk I love sooo much, isn't as bad you think/say. This is for my guy! LOL. I used to drink this little carton every morning, when driving to work... I quit doing that and I drink a 0,5 liter bottle of water now. But I have to say I miss my daily dose of chocolate milk, wich I haven't had in 4 days! Anyways let's get to my photos from the past couple of days.

At work, around 3 PM when all the kids are out of bed, we have this table moment where they get some lemonade and 2 cookies. I used to have a cookie too, but with the dieting and all... I don't anymore. This week I brought some some little carrot balls. I'm not much of a carrot lover, but I do need to eat something during this time of day, or else I'll be very hungry by the time I get home... and before diner is done, it will be an hour later... But I ate them for 3 days now and they aren't as bad though...

Since it's ramadan (<<read all about it there) we always make yummy things for my guy's family and for ourselves of course! :) On Thursday I had my weekly day off and made this little pastry's. They're filled with minced beef, onion, tomatoes and some small veggies...of and spices of course. I so love these, but they are a bit greasy. So after I baked the minced beef, I poored out lots of the grease that comes out of the beef and only used a teaspoon of olive oil, to bake the onions and veggies. And I think they came out pretty good and not too greasy at all... We had diner at my inlaws and they all loved them. My BIL didn't believe I made them...cause they were sooo good! LOL

After we had diner my MIL gave me a little plate of this moroccan sweet honey pastry things, they are called: Chebakia and they are sooo good! It is pastry with a dash of cinnamon, sugar & more... baked in oil (yikes) and dipped in warm honey. Some people also poor honey over them after they are colled off. Anyway last night, when getting a drink (bottle of water) they were calling me and I had to eat one. It's full of sugar and a bit of fat, but one won't hurt, right? LOL

It's going to sooo bad, when the ramadan is over, cause that's when the sugarfest starts. Tons of sweets, cookies and lots more yummy things will be made by our inlaws. And I'm planning to make a lot of things myself too. From some other inlaws we always get a plate of the things they made, but hopefully this year they will understand if I pass. It's so not good for me, when having all these delicious things in my house! :) We'll see how that goes, I can always give it away to friends & family! LOL

Haven't got a photo for today yet, cause I just woke up. Today we're going to this big dance festival. I've been looking forward to this for months and now the day is here. I only hope the weather stays dry and sunny..since they predicted rain and it's going to be a bit cold too.

Tomorrow it's my sweet mom's birthday...she wanted to celebrate it tonight, but since we and my brother and his GF aren't here, since they are going to the festival too, she decided to do it tomorrow. So we've got a busy fun weekend ahead! :) See ya soon! -hugs-

Day #240-244: a Fall look...

Ok people, fall is just around the corner and since I still had a Spring header up on the blog, it was time for a change! I had the idea in mind, to change it every season, but summer flew by and to be honest, I didn't think of changing it before... I was glad I kept up with project 365 til now. Ok hold up, I will continue till the end for sure!! :)

So let's kick it of with some lightning!! They predicted awful weather for Friday night and it came... We had a pretty heavy thunderstorm and I finally got some lightning photos... It didn;t turned out the way I wanted and tried so many things and settings on my camera...this is the best shot that came out:

On saturday I've been shopping with one of my best friends Angela... we've been friends for over 10 years and I love her very much. The contac between us has faded for a few years and we didn't saw or spoke to eachother anymore... Now since two years, we gotten back in contact and been having so much fun like back in the days. We had a great day shopping and chatting and we both bought some nice things. Here we are on the way back in the bus...(not the best photo though, LOL)

On Sunday I had a photoshoot with a sweet family from work. The oldest of their two sons goes to my group at daycare. It was fun and the photos turned out great... Sad to say the youngest only slept for 30 mins. during the day, so after 15 hours he was exhausted and didn't wanted to do anything more, other then hang with his mommy and cry! Poor thing... Here's one of the photos I loved best...

Monday I had to play a softball game and always hate the fact that I have to rush from work, make diner, change & pack my shower things. Well Today it was a little easier! On saturday my mom had some friends over for diner and she made them indonesian food. Luckliy for us there were lots of leftovers and she gave them to us...Mmmm, thanks so much mom, it was delicious!! Inside the little containers was: ajam padis (chicken), hot eggs, pepesan (smoked mackerel), sajoor beans (green beans), rendang (stewed beef) & rice...

Today it's ...SEPTEMBER 1st, where did the time go... Only four more months till this project has come to an end. haven't decided on wether I'm going to proceed with this in 2010 yet. We'll see how things go.

From Today on, I'm going to try to eat healthy and excersize more. I already play sports 3 or 4 times a week...but it's not helping me to loose weight. So I'm going to run at least 2 times a week and like I said...eat more healthy food. On Sunday I made a deal with my parents, my GM, aunt that my cousin Syliva and I are going to loose weight before December 31st! We both need to loose 10 kilo's (20 pounds) and if we do...we made a deal that: my mom is going to buy us a new set of clothes, my dad will buy us new shoes, our GM will buy us some pretty new underwear and my autn will take us to the hair-dresser for a new coupe :) But, yeah there's a but... we both need to loose at least 10 kilo's, cause if one of us doesn't make, we both get nothing!! But this way we can hopefully encourge eachother and we will make it for sure!!!

So tonight our diner consists of mainly cauliflower, chinese noodles and a steak... I somehow got this recipe in my head and I think it will be as tasty as it sounds! LOL

So trying for a new start on getting healthy and loose some weight. I wanted to start yesterday, but with all that yummy indonesian food, I decided to wait till the 1st of the new month! So if anyone has some good iead or recipes, I'm all ears!

Day 235 - 239: some kids & a rising star!!

So it's Thursday already... this week has flewn by for sure! Only one more day of work till weekend's here! :) Got some fun things planned, including a new photoshoot.

Sunday my guy and I went for a drive, he wanted to take me to this beautiful nature parc, but on the road in the car I wanted to switch my lens, when I found out I had forgotten my CF card for my camera!! Silly me, well that's what you get when not putting another one back after taking it out!!! I felt so stupid...anyway we decided to just go for a long drives along the dykes and just enjoy the pretty weather and sights. So we ended up not going to the parc... On one hand I was still so mad at myself at the other hand, we saw some gorgeous places we're going to go back to one day... places we never would've found if we just didn't went for this drive. On our way back, we illegally picked two corn on the cobs. At first I was a little scared, but we did it anyway...At least I had something to take a photo of, wich reminded me of our little drive...

On Monday I had a little shoot with the kids from daycare... I'm making a DVD with photos of al the kids, for the parents. So I thought this would be fun... I brought my brown sheep rug with me and had them posed on the couch for me... Here's my colleagues little boy Ruben in all his cute-ness!

Last week I had bought two new CD's...one of them is this one from a Dutch rising star Esmee Denters. This girl so rocks and she so deserves all of this. About two years ago, I first found her on youtube.com and from that point on I've been following her and her career in singing . Her voice is truly amazing!!! She made these homevideos of herself singing some famous songs from that moment. She rocked them all!!! So anyway...I wasn't the only one who loved it, cause mister J.T as in Justin Timberlake found her too. Well she made it! The video of her singing 'what goes around' from mister J.T himself is truly amazing, listen and see for yourself (make sure to check the video till the end) I've listened to this specific one for over 50 times and still gives me goosebumps all over!!!

Back to bussiness, she signed a contract with J.T's Tennmann records and I can tell you, we're going to hear lots more from this girl for sure!!! So I had to buy her first ever CD of course!! Only cause I had to have the original one and of course to support her in whetever she does. Although she'll probably have no clue I was the one who bought one of her CD's! :)

Yesterday I bought another WII motion plus for our Wii remote controlers... We got one with the 'sports resort' game, but if we want to play with the two of us, we needed another one. How smart is Nintendo... I mean we can't play the game with the old remote, without the motion plus thing. So I bought another yesterday...now we can really play against eachother! :)

Today was my weekly day off...scrapped, browsed my fav. internet sites, did two laundry's, cleaned our bed sheets and got some grocery's.. On my way to the grocery store, right outside of our central hall.. the neighbour kids and some of their friends, were chalking the pavement. They looked so funny and cute with chalk all over their faces! LOL Here's our neighbour girl Dina, covered in chalk...

Well gotta go now...cause I've got a softball game in 20 minutes. Already dressed partially and packed my bag with clean clothes and towels. So will see ya soon! -x-

Day 231 - 234: what a weather...

Well this week we had some extreme weather things, especially on Thursday... The temperature went up to 35 degrees or higher and around diner time it all changed. For exactly 10 minutes, we had an incredible storm, with thunders and heavy rain. Well that's what you get when the sun heats up that high. Thursday it was the hottest day of the year so far... but this upcoming week they also predicted high temperatures... I'm just glad I didn't had to work on Thursday...LOL

Anyway let's kick off this post with Wednesday... after work I babysitted Max, Antoinette's boy for a few hours. he had a fever for a two days, but luckily it went down and mom and dad, went to this beach party. We first had diner all together and after they left, Max and I played in the backyard for a bit and then I'd put him in bath. The last time I babysitted them, I had this beautiful shot of Max and the water drops. Well this time he didn't want me to take his photo... LOL, and kept putting his hand in front of his face. I do have one I like, but going with another photo of the day. In the backyard they have this yummy blackberries...so I tried some...of this yumminess :)

On Thursday I had an appointment with the dentist... I sooo hate it and was really nervous the whole morning. But luckily my mom always comes with me...phew! I can tel it was fine and nothing special...gladly! But the next time, he was to somehow renovate my teeth and put some sort of layers on it, to pretect my teeth from holes. Although not sure I want that though and I'm sure it's going to cost me a lot of money!!! We'll see about that. It was the first time I went to this guy, since our old one quit and well just not too sure about this guy! So maybe I'll go to the one my guy is going to... we'll see~

When I got to my parents house, my little cousin Robin was there...well little?? I'm sure he is almost as big as I am! LOL. And he also not little anymore cause he's starting high scool this year. But I'm sure he'll manage. Since it was a hot day, we had no clue what to do. Being too active with this kind of weather is not my thing...LOL. Then I remembered my dad had some of the big go-cards from my work. They were broken and were placed in the shed for like a year. Untill the after-school-daycare cleaned up the shed and I asked my dad if he could fix them. He fixed two already and they were in the van, untill someone of us was able to bring them back... So I aksed Robin if he wanted one and he said yes... There he is...this BIG guy, on his way growing up, riding a go-card :)

On Friday, we went to this big wholesale store after we had diner. We bought some grocery's, a new trashbin, some shirts for my guy, dvd's, battery's and a new game for the WII. We haven't played on the WII for like 2 months or so...We saw this game on TV and it looked so much fun, we wanted to have it... and...it was a little cheaper then in the stores, so we took it. We played it for a few times now and it's so much fun. It's called WII sports resort and has ten new sports games, such as: archory, sword fighting, frisbee, canoeing, basketball and a couple of others.. We love it!

Yesterday we didn't do anything special... I worked on the wedding album, wich is almost done except for the last 6 pages. Got some grocery's, had diner and watched tv.

So I took a photo of my sweet necklace. On Monday my neighbour got home and she brought me this pretty new 'fatima' hand (hamsa) for my necklace. I already had the little hand and necklace for two years. I got it from my SIL after she got back from Morocco. But only started wearing it 24/7 around June. It has become a lucky charm since then. I started wearing it before my guy went to Morocco and I went to Italy. It's probably all in my head, but I didn't wanted to take it off untill my guy got home save and sound. Right now I still don't feel like taking it off and I probably won't untill it feels good in some way! LOL. I asked my MIL to bring me another one in gold, since my engagement ring is gold also and not sure if I like the gold ring and silver necklace thing... we'll see! Anyway here it is...

Day 226 - 230: weekend already over!

Yeah I know, I said I would be back this weekend, but have been too busy working on the wedding album for the couple who married in June and I really want to get this album done before the end of the month! And when I wanted some time off the album, I went of the pc too and just didn't feel like blogging!

But I'm here and from now on...I'm not going to tell you when I will be back! Sorry dad, but I sometimes just can't keep up! :) But I will keep posting in the end and I will keep up this fab project till at least January 1st 2010!!! For sure!

So let's start with my pics. On Friday the first episode of 'popstars' started. Kind of like Idols..but then they wanna start a pop-group or could be a solo artist too, depeneding on the outcome and talent they find. The jury consists of three people, two of wich are kind of formiliar over here and I always love the funny, weird looks on their faces sometimes... kinf of like that simon Cowell dude! Anyway, I always love to watch the first couple of shows we're you see the audition rounds... too funny! :)

On Saturday I had some cleaning vibes...well not really cleaning, more little clearing things up. Like this drawer in our livingroom table...where we keep the tv-magazine, battery's and things like that. We throw all kinds of small weird things in there, of wich we don't know the right place to put them at...so they all end up in this drawer! It was a mess and couldn't find anything I was looking for the past couple of weeks, so now it's all sorted! :)

Sunday my guy and I went for a drive after I was done for the day with the wedding album. We ended up walking through this beautiful parc with all sorts of pretty wildflowers... It was so nice, except for the flies that kept following us around. At one point they drove me nuts! LOL The most pretty flower (not sure if it even is a flower) was this one...

I took 100 more photos, but there are just a few more I would like to show you...First of my sweetie, posing for me! And let me tell you, he doesn't do that often :)

Then yesterday we had our first softball game after the summer break. We didn't expected a whole lot of it, since we had this game against the team who's on the 2nd position. Well we were wrong and we WON!!! We were all so excited and delighted...and also really proud at ourselves. Seemed that if the other team won this match and another one, they could've become the champions this year...so sorry, but we messed it up for them! Poor girls. But for us it was a real victory, thinking our team promoted this year after becoming the champions last year...well we never thought we could've come this far, since the level this poule plays at is a little higher then last years' poule! So we were all so proud last night! here are a few of the girls, warming up and batting...

Last night when I got home, my guy went to pick up his suitcage wich he left in Morocco thsi summer. His brother came home last night from Morocco and had brought this suitcage for him. But... his mom filled it up with some things and had put a little lock on...from wich we didn't have a key! I so wanted this thing to open, cause maybe...well just maybe my SIL had putten my new custom made moroccan dress in there. So I had to get it open somehow...well My guy did it!!! Witha littlr key from another suitcage, it worked! After searching through the suitcage, I saw a formiliar looking fabric...MY DRESS!!!! It's here!!!! Really I'm so happy and I love how it turned out!!!

So today, I had to try it on of course...wanna see?? Hold on. before my guy left for Morocco I had been to the fabric market and picked out some pretty fabrics. I measured my sizes they needed and emailed it to my SIL. She took the fabrics to this dress maker in Morocco and they made me this beautiful dress>>>>

They made it the right size and added these fabric-cloth things as you can see in the middle (the red/beige stripe thingy's). It's a double dress and has three pieces. The under dress, the see through over dress and the belt. I really love it and of course I had to try it on today and show you as promissed... I'm so happy with it. Now when we have a wedding or baby party, I don't have to borrow one and can wear my own one!! :) Woohoo

Day #220 - 225: b-day, friesland & more...

So Saturday my lil' brother melvin and his GF Kiki celebrated their birtdays...they always celebrate it together. Kiki's B-day is July 1st and Melvin's is August 9th. Of course my photo for the day was about them, so here they are...

Sunday morning we drove to Friesland, to stay with my cousin and his family for a few days. They had rented a little chalet there and asked us to come over... and so we did! The weather was beautiful, except for Monday afternoon and it rained for a bit. I'll show you a few more photos, other then my photos for the day...

So when we got there, we had some pie and then we walked around for a bit & we had a drink somewhere close to the sea. Next to the restaurant there was this cute set-up of wooden barrels and some other things. I asked Sidney, my cousins daughter to pose for me :)

At night we had diner next to the fisherman's harbor, were all the botes from the fishermen were laying...

On Monday, we slept in for a bit and had a nice breakfast. When everyone was done showering and all we went to 'Pieterburen - seal rehabilitation and research centre' set-up by Lenie 't Hart.

Every year around two hundred baby seals (who lost their moms), sick/injured seals & animals wich have got caught up in fishermen nets and such... they are brought to the SRRC in Pieterburen via the seal-first-aid posts. Here, the animals are treated for their ailments and are cared for until they are well enough to be released back to sea. I think this centre does wonderful work and all costs for feeding the animals and giving them the help they need, comes from donations from people and of course ffrom the entrance money they ask.

The centre isn't that big and since most of the seals are sick, you can't see them up-close...other then from behind fences, there's one bath they stay at with big windows and that's where I took this photo...

The next photo is from the pile of fishermen nets they have collected from seals who got caught in these... isn't that just awful!!

After visiting the centre we went to play miniture golf and had a drink. When we walked back to the car we saw this beautiful garden and an old man was working in it. His garden was open for puplic and told us we could come and check it out...so we did. It had the most beautiful flowers and butterflies & bees flying all over the place. Here are two photos I took there...Look at this busy bee collecting nectar from the flowers, all covered with the flower dust...

On the way home we stopped by the sea, since it was low tide and found some pretty things there... Like sea stars, mossels, carbs & more sea life animals... It was fun, untill it started to rain...LOL

This little sea star was still alive and after we took a photo, we had placed it back in the water...

Tuesday, Day #223... around 2 PM we went to see this 'Bird of prey' show, with was so cool. They had the most awsome birds; 4 types of owls, goshawks, sea eagles and lots more and some were really big... here are few of my fav. birds and shots...

But the most impressive one, must be this huge sea eagle... He was making so much noise at this moment and I took the shot, right when he spread his wings, see how big it is?

Then one more shot I like... First up, the kids were all sitting on the ground in the middle of the field and this big owl flew right over them... I love how this turned out :)

After the show we went to a friend of my cousin, who came to the harbour in their boat. The guy took us for a "ride" on the boat and showed us some pretty spots on 'Lauwersmeer'. It was just beautiful... when we got back, I had to take a pic of the little house we stayed in, here it is...

I took 434 photos in a few days, so I've got lots more... but will leave it with this, before it's running out of hand! LOL

Then yesterday, this bee bug... was laying on the kitchen floor. It had died, prob. because of the heat... poor thing, uhm.... NOT! I hate bees and other flying bugs, I'd rather hold a spider or something like that! hehe. Anyways I do like the texture and profile of this fellow's wings though...and look at that hairy body

Today I had to pick up some of the big boys toys from work, wich were broken for far too long and asked my dad to fix them. I pciked up our little niece Imane to come with me... First we picked up the truck and went to my work.. she played with the toys for a bit, made a puzzle and then we went to this playground for a bit. She loved, especially the water there. So since we only had an hour, I promissed her, we would go back soon with her older brother... here she is enjoying the sand and water

Well I'm caught up... will be back this weekend for sure. This week has flewn by and weekend is almost here, just one more day of work! woohoo.... -x-

Day # 215- 219: finally weekend is here!

Nothing much to tell you other then I've been busy the past week... mostly at work though. Two days I worked by myself and it was fine, alhtough I was totally exhausted at the end of the day and nothing more came out of my hands! LOL So yeah, I'm glad weekend is here... cause we've got some fun things planned!

Tuesday, it was my weekly day off and for diner I made us some yummy cous-cous, veggies and chicken. I first cooked the chicken and to make it extra tasty I've put them on our eletric BBQ when they were done. I love this BBQ! :)

On Wednesday one of my colleagues brought this small air-cushen to work and the kids totally loved it.. it was so fun! LOL, just look at her tongue sticking out of joy! hehe

On Thursday I worked an extra day at work... Anouk, my colleagues' girl was there too. I hardly ever see her, since I normally don't work on Tues.& Thursday , so of course I had to take a photo of this cutie! :)

yesterday I had the cutest idea for a photo... a belly shot! LOL, not mine...from some of the kids! I wanted to have more on there...but most of them were still a sleep and so this is it! 4 petit belly's. It didn't really turned out as I had mind though...but don't have any other shot from yesterday, other then just kids playing with the water!

And today it's Saturday... I just went looking at the castle for a wedding in November with the happy couple. I wanted to sleep for an hour or so...but my guy won't let me and told me to do my things. I'm so running out of time and need some sleep! LOL

Tonight my brother and his GF are celebrating their B-days, so will be going there... and they will probably be my photo for today. Tomorrow morning we're heading to Friesland. My cousin Ron, his wife & daugther and having their holiday there and asked us to come over for a few days. So we will be back on Tuesday at the end of the day... so will hopefully post my photos from the weekend then :) See ya and enjoy your weekend! -xox-

Day #209 - 214: catching up...

Well our first week of work has passed, survived our weekend and August is already here... Really, where did July go?? Time flew by!! Our first week of work was ok and relaxed...this weekend we had nothing planned other then to just relax... So let me show you my pics. from this week...

Tuesday after we had diner, we went to get an ice-cream here in town. We sat down at this bench in a little parc and ate our ice-cream...we had view over this beautiful wind-mill...

When my guy was in Morocco, I took some photos of myself, with the tripod and my remote control. After he got home and saw the photo he loved it. So glad he did, cause I already ordered this photo in canvas for him...LOL

Thursday I was off work and made a yummy diner, for my family. I made my moms delicious stewdish...so glad she gave me the recipe!! So we ate at my parents' house with my brother and his GF. I still hadn't got a gift for my birthday from my brother & Kiki, but they didn't forget me... I got these two cute bracelets, some paper scrapping stickers and the cutest tea light shaped like a butterfly...

Then Friday night arrived and we were glad we came through this week ok...we treated ourselves to some yummy chocolate mouse with whipped cream...MMmmmm

The Saturday August 1st... Since my parents bought a new refrigerator ...a huge american style one, we got they old table model freezer. We have a little freezer above the refrigerator, but it's toooo small for the two of us. We had one, but it was broken for a while.... LOL. So now we have a new one...and I'm so happy with it. Thanks mom & dad! :)

This morning I made us some yummy french toast...we wanted to make these yesterday, but found out we didn't have anymore eggs. So I promised my guy to make them this morning... They were so good, with sugar & syrop! :)

Ok peeps, I'm off... still want to scrap a bit. But also kind of tired... my period is coming up (not like you wanted to know that...LOL) and did some serious cleaning today...the whole kitchen is shining! Cleaned everything and sorted out the cabinets and threw away lots of things that were over date...oops! Not fresh products though...just other things like cake-mix and such. I need to check that more often! :)

ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM!!!!!!! Of course I said YESSSSS! :)

When he got back from Morocco, he said he had a present for me, but wanted to keep it for a special occasion...uhm what?? I had a slight feeling, but never thought too much about it. What if, that wasn't the thing...then I would've been so dissapointed. So I tried to forget about the whole present...

Then Friday he said he wanted to go out to diner last night and so we went. The diner was delicious and after we had our main course we went outside to the terrace and had coffee and ice-cream there. Then all of the sudden when we were talking, he went down on his knee and popped the question after he had said some sweet things... Well YESSS, of course I want to marry you! :)

So, after I got home, I took a photo of the ring... At the moment it happened I just wasn't able to make a photo of the moment :) So here it is... It's a gold ring, with 7 stones... the big one is light purple and the smaller ones are white...

But of course it's mich more prettier in 'real 'life...

Talking about real life... Today we both had to go back to work. It was so hard to get up in the morning after sleeping in for three weeks long! LOL. But I managed to keep up, although I'm truly exhausted! I'm so glad, I bought these comfy birkenstock slippers, cause my foot would have been so sore if I didn't wore these...LOL

Tomorrow we've got our weekly day off, finally! LOL...JK, I just thought this day would be soo long, but it went fine! I do have got softball practice in a bit...but I'm just going to say hi after summer break. My head hurts, and I'm just too tired right now! :)

day 205 & 206: old & fresh skin!

Mmm that's a weird title isn't it?? But you'll understand after you've seen my last two photos... LOL

Last Monday my guy went to the beach in saidia in Morocco, but mister smart pants forgot to put sun screan on!!! He got sunburned and on Thursday his burned (brown) skin started to peel of! Seriously it looks awful... This was Friday, but this morning it looks soooo much worse... That what you get when you don't listen to your girl!

So that was the old skin...Now on to the new skin! LOL

yesterday I helped one of my sweetest friend Angela to babysit her little nephew Diego. This little two week old came over for a few hours. And since Angela doesn't has a whole lot experience with such small babies, I went over there to help her out. Of course I brought my camera and we had a little shoot with this cutie! here's my fav. photos...

Today I'm having antoher shoot with my sweet colleague and her little girl Anouk... The weather is great and the sun is out! So I think we'll manage to get some cute shots. Going to have breakfast now, shower and then they'll be here to pick me up! :)

Tonight my guy and I are going out to diner... And tomorrow real life starts again, when we both need to work after a 3 week holiday!

Day #203 & 204: He's HOME!!!!

And I can be any happier at the moment! I was so happy when he finally came out of the arrival hall, I cried! I missed him so much, but glad we still have a few days together before we need to get back to work on Monday.

Time flew by and on one hand I'm happy it did and I'm totally fine with going back to work...but having a few weeks off is great too. I get to do so many things I love...like scrapping and also busy working on the wedding album for the couple who married in June.

So Wednesday after I picked my guy up from the airport, he was a bit hungry and so we went to the drive-thru at MacDonalds and got ourselves a yummy burger...

It isn't the most flaterous photo, since he missed a night of sleeping...but look at his tan! He got sunburned on Monday, his shoulders are sooo freakin' red...anyway I'm just glad he's home save and sound! :)

Yesterday I gave him the present I bought for him in Italy. I knew he wanted this bracelet for a while now... But whenever he is looking to buy something for himself, most of the times he ends up not buying it, since he thinks it's too expensive! :) Well I didn't care and just wanted to give him a nice present!!

He also bought me a present, but not sure what to expect. He said I'm not getting it yet, since he's waiting on 'the perfect moment' or ocassion. So I'm a little (ok say a lot) curious on what I'm getting and how long it's going to take before I'm getting it! LOL

I also give him a notebook...kind of like a journal wich I kept while he was gone. In there in wrote my feelings about how I missed and how I see our future together and things like that. He loved it and I thought it would take him forever to read... But he read the whole thing last night! I also ordered something else for him and if all goes right, it will be here tomorrow. I so hope he likes it ad I wish I could tell you all...but he also reads this blog sometimes. So I'll tell you when it gets here and he got it! :)

Day # 199 - 202: Tonight he comes home!!!!!

My guy that is... I'm picking him at 22.50 tonight and so can't wait to have him in my arms! I missed him like crazy!!! I'm never going to go 2 whole weeks without him again, no mather how expensive or how many 1000's of miles I have to drive... I'm going with him! On the other side I do think it was good for our relationship and I'm sure it made it stronger. Like they always say: you never know what you miss till you do, right?

Now let's get to the photos of the past couple of days... Saturday when driving home at 18.30 from my brother's house, I didn't feel like going home yet and be all alone for the rest of the evening. So I went to my SIL and her kids for a bit... I brought some ice-creams for the kids, except for the smallest one, Dina. Well she litteraly ate mine and it was so cute. A few years ago when her bigger sister Imane was about 1,5 ... I took almost the same photos of the ones I took of Dina now... Look at her mouth, and no help was allowed here!!! :)

So after she ate it, it was my responsibility to put her in bath...we had so fun together... I love this cutie!

Sunday was Day #200...isn't that a milestone?? I think so! So I had this little wooden craft numbers and painted & decorated them a bit, check it out:

On Monday while browsing the internet I found these cute multi colored tutu's and sooo wanted one for my photography, they are so freakin' cute!! I've got a shoot with my colleague and her girl ( 10 months.) and so wanted one of these for that shoot. I browsed all over the internet to find them here, but nowhere to find other then on etsy. I asked the lady who made them how much the shipping would be...$15!! So cause I also wanted a cute beanie hat with it, it would cost me $45... Uhm don't think so. When I was browsing google, I found a dutch DIY project on how to make tutu's. So after I showered I went to the fabric store and got me some tule... they didn't have a whole lot of colors, so I went with light and darker pink. And while watching CSI later that night, I made it... I love how it turned out, although I'm thinking about putting a silky band around the elastic, but not sure if that will work... So I think I'll leave it like this for now:

Yesterday I stayed home and one of my colleagues came over to make a photo book of her trip to Cuba... When she left it was diner time and while cooking it started raining like crazy with thunderstorms. I wasn't really paying attention to it, untill I saw I left the balcony door open...Oops, uhm and the computer room window. Everything was soaked and had to use 4 towels to dry it! LOL. After I closed the door, it stopped...so I opened it again!!! Ok how stupid can you be, while ating diner it started raining again...yeah you get it?? LOL, here's the result of that action...

ok ladies, that's it for now... Not sure what my photo for today, day #203 will be, but I think it will be my guy or something about him returning home! Really, I can't explain how much I missed him and can't wait till tonight! I'm also kind of nervous for him flying and all...so my stomach isn't feeling that good, but I'm sure all will be fine! -hugs-

Day #192-198: Italy - July 11th-17th!

Well people I've been back for 3 days now and although there was a heat-wave there, I kind of miss the sun. The first day, when I woke up...you could've guessed it...rain! Lots of times when you get back from your sunny holiday stay, rain is here to find you! LOL It was a pretty day today though and no rain..they say is getting better this week, so we'll see!

Anyway I'm here to show off my Italy photos... I visited my parents' there on their holiday adress in the mountain, in a place called: 'San Lorenzo in Campo' doesn't that sound pretty? :) Well since I took a lot of photos, during the week I was there, I'm going to show you two photos for each day...simply because I couldn't pick one :) Oh beware cause this is going to be a long post! LOL

Let's start with Saturday the 11th, day # 192: after we woke up, took a quick swim and head breakfast we went to Fano, to a local market there ad bought some cute things (a purse, slippers, a blouse). We also stopped by the sea, since it was pretty hot... we didn't bring our bathing suits, so we went in just a bit. I warned my dad the waves were pretty high and un-expected, but he didn't listen...LOL As he was in untill his knees, a wave came up and soaked his shorts! hihi... We walked a bit on, until we found this rocky place and asked him to pose for me :)

My dad told me at night, that around 11 PM the moon comes up from behind the mountains and that I had to see it... Well since 10.15 PM he checked every 10 mins. till it came out. I tried to make a photo of this beautiful orange moon, but couldn't find anything steady, to take a photo with a long shuttertime...so it turned out a bit moved and other then the moon and some lights, it's a bit too dark!

On Sunday we stayed around the appartment most of the day and swum in the complex' outside swimming pool, wich was really refreshing sometimes... Kind of like our private pool, since there were only 2 other family's to share it with at the moment. Right next by the pool there was a big lavender bush and this bee was busily buzzing around it...

Before going out to diner, we drove the area for a bit and found this beautiful sunflower field. There are tons of these in the area and as they dry out, they make sunflower oil from them. This field started at the road and ended way up the hill as you can see...

Then Monday morning day #194, I was up waaaay tooo early! I couldn't sleep because of the bugs and warmth and so as I looked out of the window at 5.25 AM, I saw the sun coming up and had to take some photos of course...

But I can tell you it was still a bit cold out and so after an hour I went back to bed and slept till 9 AM. After we had breakfast and showered we went to 'the caves of Frassasi ', wich were truly interesting and breathtaking....with all the stalagmites and stalagtites. We couldn't take any photos inside, but I did took one of this huge picture wich was just outside the caves...

Tuesday, day #195...Today was the local market in our little village, but it was as big as in Fano and didn't bought anything other then some grilled chicken for diner :) This photo is taken from the terrace were we had some coffee and juice...

Later in the afternoon my dad and I had put up the awning of the camper... The terrace was in the full sun and even the sun-shaed weren't enough. This worked perfect and it was the first time my dad had put it up, since they only bought this camper like a month ago. It worked like a charm... He was sooo happy!!!

Wednesday we went to this pretty little town in the mountains and there was this cute nature-stones shoppe and of course my mom and I couldn't resist and bought some pretty stones and bracelets there...Look at all these pretty colors...

For the 2nd photo, I just took this one of our view from up the mountain.. isn't it pretty??

Thursday I went back to this big lavender plant, cause I had seen some pretty butterflies flying around, and there she (or he) was in all it's glory. I love how the background is blurried and this is one of my fav. photos I took...LOL

Then I've got this photo from 'to me' a typically Italian sight...those pretty ornage tiled houses, with some red-fuchsia flowers and the mountains in the background...

Friday... already my last day in the beautiful country!!! Of course I had to take a last swim in 'our' pool, to cool down a bit before I started packing my suitcage. My mom and dad went with me and I took this sweet photo of them...

One more photo...wich is taken in 'San Lorenzo in Campo' down the hill. My dad and I went to the internet cafe for a bit, so I could have a chat with my guy... I had to take a photo of this pretty fountain...

Before I'm wrapping this up, I would like to thank my parents for having me over this week!!! I loved it and would've no idea what to do this week, other then just missing my guy and feeling sad! You guys have kept me going and kept my mind of of missing him... Well I did miss my sweetie, but being around you, during that time was GREAT!!! I felt LOVED and loved everything we did..the talking, seeing places and especially the sweet goodnight kisses! thanks mom & dad and you both know you mean the world to me!!! -x- Love you!!!!

Day #187 - 191: Ooops, oops, oops!!!

So on Friday the 10th I left for a week vacation to Italy, where my parents stayed for their summer holiday. I made a whole to-do-list two days before I left...and posting here was on that list! I waited till the last day to do this...but then.... I ran out of time!!! When my parents picked me up at thr airport, I suddenly thought of it!!! How could this have happened??? I have no clue! So I'm going to split it up... I'm going to post the 5 ayds before I left now and will post my photosd from the week in Italy tomorrow (hopefully)...so let's start...

On Monday the 6th, my cousin had a last day primary school and he and his classmates performed this musical.. It was so fun and loved it. he asked me to take photos for him and so I did. here he is in my brothers suit, he had two characters in the show and also did the lighting and music when needed...here he is in control of the music! :)

Tuesday the 7th, day #188... my guy was packing his suitcages for his trip to Morocco, nothing special to say about this photo! :) Off course I had to check it all, to make sure he had all the things and clothes he needed :)

Wednesday July 8th... the day has come for my guy leave for a two week holiday to Morocco. Well you can't really say it's a holiday cause there are lots of things he needs to take care of. Anyway from this day on I'll need to live two weeks without my sweetheart! I can tell you by now after 1,5 week that I miss him like crazy and can't wait till next Wednesday and I get to hold him in my arms again!!! :( here he is with his brother and family...and of the went....

Thursday day #189, Bfore leaving of course I had to give our little fishies a nice anc clean home... somehow it felt like they knew I was leaving, cause everytime I walked by they kept coming close to the side I was at...so weird! :) here they are:

Friday July 10th...time for me to pack my stuff and head to the airport.... One of my BIL's took me there and so glad I didn't have to go all by myself! He stayed with me till I went through the checkpoint... The flight went good and so glad when I saw my parents!

My week in italy was great and so happy I went to see them.. I think I would've felt miserable when I stayed home and being all alone. It was so great to be around them... Cause I sooo miss my guy! Only 4 more nights till I get to pick him up from the airport and can't hardly wait!!! I will be back soon with my photos from my week in Italy...see you then! -xxx-

Day #182- 186: 3 weeks OFF!!!

On Friday our three weeks off of work started and it feels soooo good!!! There are a few things that make me real nervous, cause this will be the first time in the 7,5 years my guy and I will be apart for 14 DAYS!!!

Since my guy's dad has had all these attacks this year and still isn't doing all that better right now..he and some of his brothers need to go to Morocco to arrange some things... Their dad has got several pieces of land and a house and they need to put that all on the brothers' names. He's driving to morocco with his brother and somehow I wish I could come, but on the other hand I don't want to, since... he will be away a lot those two weeks and I don't want to stay in their house for two weeks and be bored. If I wanted to come to morocco, we needed to drive ourselves and that would cost about 2,000 euros...a lot of money I can spend waaaay better! Anyway I'm not going...instead I'm going to my parents started driving to Italy this morning. One day my dad said, why not come to us for a week or so..since the two weeks my guy is gone, almost of my family is... my parents, my brother & his GF, my aunt and well most of the inlaws (except one lil bro and sis from ap) are gone too! So I would stay behind and just don't want that, I need some loving people around me all times! :)

But then there's another thing..since my guy is leaving on wednesday and I'm leaving Friday, I somehow needed a ride to the airport 1,5 hours from here..but everyone is gone and some others need to work...bla bla bla.... I felt sooo sad, nervous, scared & anxious the past couple of days, untill a few minutes ago when my guy called... His youngest brother is going to take me, since he felt bad for me... Really I cried with relieve! I've been thinking and crying about this whole thing on and off the past three weeks. I found out I could go with the bus...but that would take me 4 hours and then I needed to wait at the airpiort for another 5 hours and that would really drive me crazy!!!! First I just don't like flying and then going there by myzelf and waiting all that time, I would go nuts... I had several thoughts about just NOT going anywhere and just stay home...alone!!! But I just can't do that either... I must really sound like a whiner right now, but I just need my family & friends around me...at least a few of them!

I'm just SOOOOO going to miss my guy all this time! This year it was the first we slept apart for only ONE night and already missed him like crazy...so how will this go??!! Ok, I'm going to stop right now and will show you my photos of the pat couple days, cause the tears are already coming out again :(

Day #182, July 1st...half way through project 365 and my sweet SIL's birthday. Really I'm so lucky my guy found Kiki and I love how happy they are together...her she is, holding a cocktail my lil brother made for her...Love you hun!

Day #183: It's been really hot here (between 20-32 degrees!) and since the humidity is so much worse then in other country's... Of course we need to remember to drink lots of fluits!

Day #184 , we played with water at daycare since it was another hot day..the kids love to play with the little tubbs. Little Ruben here felt it was needed for my feet to get wet too :) And I can tell you, it felt great!

Day #185: In the morning I went to the outdoor fabric market, to get some pretty fabric to make my first moroccan party dress. My SIL is going to take the fabric to morocco and over there they're going to make a beautiful dress for me. When it's done and after I got it from here when they get back, I'm sure going to show you! Btw this isn't the fabric I picked out...just a photo of some of thousands of fabrics! :)

Day #186: This afternoon I had a fun shoot with Antoinette and her sweet family... Haven't had time to check all the photos yet and only had a quick look. This is one that jumped out and wich I truly love... after going to this parc we also went to the 'wall of fame', it's this grafitti spot where people legally can spray grafitti...it's so cool!

Day #176-181: summer time!!

yeah people summer is really here and you can feel it! The sun is out and it's pretty hot...today when we were in the car the temperature on the car meter was 32 degrees...ladies it's HOT down here!! Anyway I've got a couple more photos for you, from the last week...

First up Thursday.. I took this shot of this beautiful flower with my extension rings, don't you just love the colors??!! I do!! :) I was supposed to had a shoot with the neighbour kids, but the little one wasn't feeling that good... so my shot for the day!

Friday I took my old road to work...it has been closed down for weeks and to be honest I have no clue what they did with the road! LOL. I was a little early, so I thought let's try and see if it's open again and it was... It was a misty morning, before the sun came out...

On Saturday I had a wedding shoot and I can tell you, it went great!! Loved the photos so far... Have seen them all real quick, but didn't took a good look at all of them, just didn't have time yet! But as far as I saw them I have a few favs. But since the happy couple haven't seen them yet, I'm just going to show you one I like. Not just the photo of it, but the whole idea. We wrote their first letter and a heart in the sand at this lake...haven't edited this photo yet..so right out of my camera, here it is:

Sunday I had a softball game, but didn't bring my camera... after worths we went to my parents to have diner there and my mom gave me these beautiful Hydrangeas... Took a photo of them when I got home :)

Then for Monday... One of the kids at daycare had her birthday the weekend and she treated us on these delicious decorated cupcakes...boy they were good!!! I took lots of shots and hopefully one day I can make them like is...at least I'm going to try! :) Don't they look yummy??

Then today... I was supposed to go to work, but my colleague wanted to work for me, ain't that sweet?? So I got a day off and so did my sweetie. So we spend the day together, just sleeping in, chilling and we also did some shopping! Around seven the neighbour kids were playing outside with waterguns... So I threw some water at them from the balcony, something they didn't expected! LOL.. But since we live on the third floor they couldn;t reach me and so I decided to go outside for a bit. It was fun and I got home all sooked! LOL. My guy laughed at me and told me it was childish... Mmm I don't care! LOL, you're as old as you feel, right?? hehe. We had fun and that's what matters, he's just a party pooper, you here my sweetie?? hihi Anyway of course I took my camera down and took this photo of Nizar...love the bit of sun flare on this :)

Well going to relax before it's bedtime.. Only need to work tomorrow and Friday till our 3 weeks off of work will start!!! I sooo can't wait :) See ya soon -x-

Day #171 - 175: catching up...

Had a great, fun but busy week so far... Ok I think you're all getting sick of the word busy by now! LOL So I'm going to change the word 'busy' to 'lively' from now on :)

Let's start with Saturday... we went with my parents to an old friends of them and her DH, Nienke & Cees... Let me start with Nienke, I just love her, we didn't always get a long when I was a teen but well I wasn't such a sweetheart as I am now... hehe! When my brother and I were little we always went to stay with her and I loved it. She lives in this big trailer-house by the water and especially in summer times we loved to be there! I can go on and on about all the adventures we had there!!! Ice-skating in winter time, floating with the boat, fishing and more. Then Cees... This guy is such a sweetheart and their lives has totally changed since they discovered intestinal cancer with him. To me he's such a strong man and lives his life by the day. He's still working, but whenever they can they go out with their RV and see the world. On the day we were there, he looked great and you wouldn't think he's sick... but I felt and later on we heard he was stuggling to be the best he could be that day. I really admire him for his strength and the will to go on and fight this cancer!!! (hold on, need to grab a tissue real quick)

Oh this guy can play the piano!!! It's truly A-MA-ZING!!!!! They have this big glass 'schimmel' piano in the living room and he played us a little part.

He also plays organ.. the church nearby their house, just got a new one and so would love to see and hear him play that organ. So we talked about and going to hopefully see him plqay it this summer... He has the key to the church's backdoor and go play their organ whenever he wants!

On Sunday I went to see one of the girls from college, we haven't seen eachother for like 4 years and it was so fun! We talked for hours and all I can say was that it was great! 'Sabn we really got to do this again soon...missed you!!!'

The bad thing is that we totally forgot to take a photo, so since it was fathersday here, we went to my dad after I got home to give him a little present. He wanted a router for the internet for his laptop and he got it from us... On Saturday my dad got a new (well 2nd hand) RV, since he sold the old one... I had already seen it sat. night, but Abdel and my brother didn't...so we went to look at it. It's this old Volkswagen vanagon with a complete westfalia built-in... It's so cool and vintagy, I love it :)

The Monday was a beautiful sunny day and when having my break at work the sun was beautiful with these clouds, so took this shot... Love the lens flare on this shot!

Then Tuesday after work we had this workshop, but since I had 1,5 hours before it started I went to Antoinette. She picked up my extension rings in the morning at work and wanted to see if she could 'work' them and if she already took some pics. We played with it for a bit, but didn't get a good shot of the bees & bugs, just one of a flower... Will show you after my photo for the day... Max her little boy (he goes to my daycare too) was eating this strawberry we used to take a photo of and he was so cute... Look at this little smoochie, strawberry monster :)

Then next up is Wednesday... Last night was the one of the last soccer practices before summer and we wanted to do something fun. One of the girls shouted she would love to play softball... and so we did! I got this bag from my club with gloves, bats, balls and everything we needed. When I asked my coach for the goodies, he said we could also use one of the fields if we wanted... Well YEAH, that would be so awsome!!!! And so we did. We did a little warming up, did some throwing and they we tossed some balls for them to hit. Nadia (my model:)) from my team came to help me with the fun... Later on both my coaches also come to help. I didn't wanted ask them, since they're busy enough already... But all of the sudden they came to help the girls with how to stand when hitting and things like that.... Although I think Pieter came to see if there was maybe any natural talent!!! hihihihi. It was soooo much fun and everyone loved it. Of course Nadia and I showed them how it should be done too! LOL They all said we should do this again and I'm sure we will!!! here's a group shot, my guy took...he also came to watch us for a bit! :) thanks luv

Not sure when I'll be back with photos of the rest of the week... This afternoon I've got a little shoot with the neighbour kids, if the little ones feels ok anyway... He had surgery two weeks ago and they went back to the hospital on Monday, so we'll see. Friday just a day of work and couch relaxing like I always do on Friday night. Saturday I've got to shoot a wedding and hope the weather stays like this! Sunday I've got a softball game and then... ONE MORE WEEK of work till we get our summer vacation!!!! I'm sooo ready for it! :)

Day #165- 170: I got a complaint...

From my parents...well actually from my dad! He said it was ridiculous I haven't blogged for so long! He looked for it everyday since my last post, sorry sweets I just have been too busy! :) Although I didn't blog I still took my photos everyday and well it's been only 6 days, right? That's not too bad :)

Let me start with my photo from Sunday...we didn't do anything special and nothing spectaculair to photograph, except for the sweet diner we had... I made us some yummy chicken with rice and veggies...

On Monday I had a regular day at work, again nothing special.. I took some photos of the kids playing. Femke was chilling in the little doll bed and it was so cute. I was a second too late to snap a photo of her, laying in it under a blanket, but this was cute too!

When driving home from work on Tuesday there was a big traffic jam on the highway... Later I saw that an accident had happened. The signs tell you to slow down...till max. 50km. Lucky for me I needed to get of the next exit to IJsselstein...

On Wednesday after work I went to my dad's garage... He asked me when it was the last time I checked my oil and things like that... Well to be honest I couldn't even remember, LOL. So he did that for me... In the mean time I started cleaning the inside windows of my car and well I haven't clean my car yet ever since I got in January... Yeah sometimes I'm a little lazy. So when I was done with the windows, I vacummed also and cleaned the dashboard and everything. When on my way to driving to my parents' to have diner there, I thought... well why not get it through the carwash right away too and so I did. I mean driving a clean car feels soooo much better! hehe. It stayed in the car when it went through the carwash and it was kind of scary though...LOL

On Thursday I had a pregnancy shoot, with my old neighbour and her little boy... They also asked me to make the birth announcement. It was so fun and Damian was doing really great, giving mommy's belly some sweet kisses and even wet blow kisses :) It was fun, and love how the photos turned out. You can see more of these on my website this weekend... here's one of my favorites>>>

Last night I've filled 260 envelopes with one photo each from the reunion at my cousins school... It was a 1,5 hour job and I'm so glad it's done... Now we only need to add my bussiness cards (when they get here) and stick a postage stamp on it... Here's the pile of envelopes :)

So I guess that's it... Ok for dad: Not sure when I'll be able to post again, but I think it will be around Thursday. Got a busy week and have got things planned every night this week, well not really planned most of the are obligations, oh well...

Today I'm going to this big market and in the afternoon we're going over to friends of my parents... I haven't seen them in ages, so I asked if we could come over too... Tomorrow I'm going to see an old friend from college, who I haven't seen in like 2 years (or maybe even more!!) and I so look forward to that...

Well people have a wonderful weekend and before I'm off to take a shower, I'm going to leave some sweet loving around! Uhm yeah, this time I WILL! -xx-

Day # 160-164: still working like...

Crazy to wrap up a few projects I've got going at the moment... I mean most of them are almost done, but still have so many little things I need to do. Like email people, make bussiness cards & posters for my photography, order prints & lots more..and then of course they are CT things I want & need to do..but well that's life at the moment and like I probably said a few times before, there are too little hours in one day! Anyway let's get to my photos of last week...

Tuesday we had a BBQ at my aunts' house the night before our cousin Nathan went back to the states... My cousins wife and kids were there too... I don't see them that often and really they are so cute & sweet. Of course I took a few fun shots of them and I truly adore this one of Eline... Ready in her pj's to go home, holding her little 'lollifant'..that a character of one of 'Winnie the Pooh's movies'.. I think he's called 'Lumpy' in the states, the cute purple elephant :) Well anyway here she is...

For wednesday just a simple, blurry photo of the sun going under... Yeah it's blurry cause I took it from out of the car, pointing my camera at one of the back passenger windows, as you can prob. see...hihi

Thursday after work I went to where my mom works...there new building got opened and there was a party... There was this weird, kind of creepy guy who spit fires. He made a whole show with the opening and it was kind of fun. After the opening my mom talked to him and I can tell you he looks creepy, but he is truly hilarious!! here's one of the photos from the show..

On Friday I forgot to take my photo for the day... But I did took some photos from the kids at daycare. Lucky for me I also took one of one of my colleagues' kids Ruben. He is getting so big & wise... But he's still one of my cute little friends, although cuddling & giving cute kisses is out of the question lately! :)

Then this morning when sitting behind my PC with the window wide open, to feel the summer breeze over my shoulders..this bug flew in and kept bothering me and kept flying and buzzing around my head... I so hate those bussing noises and just gives me the chills, LOL. So I thought let's have a little advantage of this bug flying in and take my photo for today...

If the weather is just a beautiful as today I've got two photo shoots... But looking at the weather report it's going to rain all day long, so we'll see about that! Will be leaving some loving around in the morning for sure... Cause it's been too long (didn't I say that in ym last post too??) anyway I will do it this time! -xx-

Day #158 & 159: Party time!!

Ok it's already over by now, but I had a fun two days... On Sunday we had our yearly family and all I can say is that is was a BLAST!!! And yesterday it was MY Birthday!!! Yeah peeps, I turned 27 and when waking up this morning I had muscle pains like almost everywhere! LOL This can have three reasons: 1. I've been too active during family day... 2. I slept in a weird position...or... 3. these are the first signs of getting OLD!!! LMAO!!! hihi

Let me tell you a little about our yearly familyday... When my GM (my mom's mom) past away I knew from then on it would be a rare happening if all of my mom's side of the family would be together. So I started a tradition thby organizing a familyday. The first time we all went to the zoo and since everyone loved to spend a day together, we decided to make this a yearly tradition!! If I'm correct this was the 4th year and everyone year someone else plans this day. This year my cousin Ron and his family organized it...

We went to this western farm where we played tons of fun games... We all got a few coins and needed to bet against eachother while playing games like: crossbow shooting, pinning nails, riding a bull, playing ring toss and lots more... The one with the most coins by the end of the day was the winner... And guess what?? I won!!! LOL Ok I cheated a little...hehe I asked peoples coins at the end, cause well it was MY B-day (i celebrated a little during familyday) LOL and I just had to win :) Anyway we told the guy from the farm it was my birthday and all of the sudden there he was... with balloons and all. My family started singing while he made me this incredibly cool hat...

So there's my photo of the day! Really it was a blast like it is every year and I so can't wait till next year!! Here's a little impression of the day...

Now yesterday: June 8th was my official birthday! I had to work and so I celebrated with the kids at daycare... It was fun and also got a few presents from some of the kids. I also got a giftcard from my colleagues from this cute accesory store... cause I really want a new black purse. I didn't have the intention to celebrate that night after work, but during the day I texted some of my family if they wanted to come for diner and cake... So my parents & my cousin, with her guy and little boy came over for diner and Abdel got some chinese on the way home... It was fun and relaxed. I didn't take any spectaculair photo of me during my birthday, cause I thought it would be fun to take one of my passport... To proof to y'all it was indeed my birthday! LOL

Well I've got a few more things I need to do before leaving today and my schedule is working good so far. Really these days I just need to have a little list of tasks and things I need to do, or else I won't get to them at all! My business is going great and I've got a fun pregnancy shoot later on. They also want me to make the birth announcement, so that's going to be fun! At night we're having a BBQ at my aunts house... Cause my cousin Yvette and both Nathan from the states graduated. It will be the last day before Nathan is going back to Texas and we're so going to miss him!!! I hope and I guess I know he had fun and will be back soon!

Day #153 - 157: too busy...

with real life at the moment and sometimes I have no clue when I'm able to post here, but I'm going to try to keep up :)

let's start with Tuesday June 2nd, day #153... My guy, our cousin Nathan and I went to Amsterdam for sight seeing. Of course he wanted to see the 'wallen' also known as the red light district, well just for fun. We just walked by and to be honest there were no pretty looking ladies at all, but well... I can say I went there! LOL After that we went to the rijksmuseum. And saw one of Hollands most famous paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn called: 'The nightwatch' . It was a fun day... Here's nathan walking through the RLD... :)

On Wednesday night I had soccer practice and since we were only with 5 girls, we decided to put up this big jumping pillow (not sure if that's the right word! LOL) Here's Kiki (my SIL) 'playing' soccer & jumping on the thing...

Then next up is Thursday...when driving home from work after a meeting the sky was filled with these hot-air-balloons and it was such a pretty sight...

I didn't took any photos for my project 365 on Friday, but I did some cute photos at daycare. Here's one of the little girls who had put on my boots... Obviously I cropped since I can't use photos from all the kids. isn't that funny and she could even properly walk on these :)

Then yesterday was a big and busy day... First I went to get my eyebrows tatooed again, cause the first time I did it looked like they did nothing and paid a lot of money for that. So this time I went to another lady and she did a whole better job! After that I rushed to my cousin Robin's school, cause they had their 50th anniversary reunion. I took class photos of the people who went to that school from 1959 till now. It was so much fun and they all turned out great. During this year of their 50th anniversary I did some other photo shoots too, for the 50 year anniversary book. It is so freakin' cool to see your own photos printed in a book!!! I'm so proud and of course I also got a copy of it...

There are 6 pages filled with MY photos and the rest of the photos are more old ones from when it all started... The fun thing is that they put this little 'special thanks to...' me in there too and added my website. So cool!

Well got to go have breakfast and a shower now, cause we're leaving the house in 50 minutes. Today is our yearly familyday with my mom's side of the family. I started this like 4 years ago after my GM passed away and it has been a yealry tradition since then. My cousin Ron is hosting it this year and they want it to be a suprise... We're meeting up at this carpool area...but I wouldn't be me if I didn't google for it!! LOL So now I know what we're going to do and it sure looks like tons of fun! :)

See ya on Tuesday on my day off... Oh and tomorrow is my big day!! Well BIG?? It's my birthday :)

Day #151 & 152: fun & relaxation

So yesterday we had a fab day at the beach... After we dropped Abdel's parents' at the airport and shedded a few tears of them leaving for sooo long... we met up with some of my cousins an had a wonderful day. The weather was beautiful, the sun was out, about 27 degrees and there was a gentle cool breeze. A perfect day... We brought some snacks & drinks, played soccer, flew a kite, frisbeed and built sandcastles... well at least that was the plan, but well with these guys around, it soon turned into a sandy lady with boobs and all. I did took photos of it, but don't wanna offend anyone, but really we had a blast!

The water was still incredibly cool and nobody went in there above the knees...bbrrr. My guy tried to go as far as he could, but this was all, he said his toes started to hurt...LOL

My photo for today isn't all that... We stayed in a relaxed a bit after this extremely busy week and just needed some time to ourselves... I scrapped a few pages and did some online tasks I needed to finish... So just a shot of my agenda and today's date! Can you believe it's already June?? I don't.. I'm so close to turning 27!!! Yikes

Will see you all this week somewhere... have no clue how my week is going to go, the only thing I know is that it's going to be busy with sports, work & meetings. Tomorrow is my final day off, in the morning I'm planning to officially regsiter my photograp[hy bussines and if all goes right we're taking Nathan to Amsterdam... Wednesday I need to get back to work and then real life starts again... -hugs-

Day #148-150: Sight seeing Holland!

Since my cousin Nathan came here, we've seen places here in Holland I've never been before. Well at least I don't remember it. I know we went there when I was little, but it was great to go there again.

On Thursday we went to Volendam, a typically tourist spot...well-known for its old fishing boats and the traditional clothing still worn by some residents. There are tons of these cute souvenir shops, with typical dutch things like: clogs, delfsblue pottery, wind mills & much more... here are some pretty hand painted clogs...

We rented some bikes and just went site-seeing & entered tons of these cute souvenir shops...

At the end we decided to go to this studio to have our photos taken in old Dutch customes... It was so much and the photo is so cool. I didn't took this photo myself, but did added a logo for the blog here. On the left you see my guy and me, in the middle is my cousin Nathan and on the right you see my little brother melvin and his GF Kiki, isn't it cute? :)

On Friday, Nathan, Melvin and I went to the cheesemarket in Alkmaar, another great tourist place. It was fun to see and hear how it all worked back in the days, this is the only place in Holland where they have these markets on Friday... here you see the cheese carriers and in the back you see two men, a buyer and a seller... They are talking about the price of the cheese

Just a couple of more shots of the cheese weighing station, a typical Dutch milk/cheese girl and of melvin and Nathan romanticly eating some cheese... Really these two guys together are just hilarious sometimes!! LOL

Then for Day #150... I went to this castle nearby to take some family photos of my colleague Mieke, her DH and cute kids... It was fun, but it was a little hard too. But I think the photos turned out good! Here's one of them I like...

Ok one more of wich I think is pretty cute :)

Now I've got to go take a shower, cause we're bringing Abdel's parents to the airport. They're going to Morocco for two months and I'm so going to miss them!! After that we're going to the beach with some our cousins and spend the day there. It will be lots of fun for sure!!!

Day # 142-147: Time really flies!!

When you're having fun!! Ok I did have fun, my week has been crazy so far... Sunday we played a softball game and had a B-day party after that. Monday I worked and had pitcher practice, yesterday I worked and had a meeting with a couple to shoot their wedding in November ( and I got it!!!) and today was another day of work, but now....I'm having a looong long weekend ahead!!

Tomorrow is my weekly day off and we're spending it with my cousin Nathan from the states...So fun. Friday my brother and I are taking him to this Dutch cheesemarket. Saturday I'm going to scrap asmmuch as I can and mkaybe have a little shoot with one of my colleagues and her family. Sunday more relaxation!!! Then Monday is a national day off and Tuesday my weekly day off again... So I have non stop 6 days off and I so need it and look forward to all the fun stuff!!!

Anyway enough rambling for now.. Let's get to bussiness!!! Tons of photos to show you. First off Friday and I have to say I cheated! I was so tired I totally forgot to take a photo... This is the first time I missed a day. But I did scrap, so instead I took a photo of the page I made :)

Saturday I spend the afternoon with one of my sweet friends and had a lovely diner together, but I forgot my camera... At night I went to the movies with my cousin from the states and our little cousin Robin. We went to see 'night at the museum 2' and it was fun! So when I got back I took this photo of the tickets...

Sunday I thought it would be fun to take a photo of a package I recieved on Saturday... This is a "Buzzer' package. Buzzer is a website that let's people try out new things that aren't on the market yet.. When I like it, I need to 'buzz' other people about it and also gave them a little sample od the buzzable product. This time it was a grill/steam herb sacks... take some chicken, out this in a special steam bag, add the herbs and put them in the oven for an hour... The chicken needs to be all mushy and it looks delicious. I can tell you it also smells sooooo good, cause I'm having it in the oven right now. I just took a photo of it, so just keep on reading! :)

Monday we didn't had a lot of kids at daycare and so we took them to the playground near by.. The weather was gorgeous and they all loved it. But when we got back there was a lot of cleaning to do. Juts like the little Ruben ( one of my colleagues' boy) here all the kids were covered with sand :)

Tuesday was Lista's, my colleagues birthday. Mieke (my other colleague) and I gave gave her some money to get a pedicure or soemthing like that. For that I made this cute money envelop using a template by Ilona havenaar... She loved it! :)

So now for the chicken... We had diner an hour ago and I still feel the taste of that delicious chicken on my tongue...man was it good!!! So here's what it looked liked when it just came out of the oven...All fresh, tasty and so soft...Mmmm

Now going to change and head to my brothers house, we're going to the casino tonight with my cousin Nathan from the states...

Day #138 - 141: Waaaay behind!!

Well my brilliant idea of having a guessing game this week, lost it's battle against me coming up with a new idea and photo prompt!! LOL. I made for one more day, but then it ended! But I am still going to give away a $5 GC to one of my fav digishops!!

So what I'm going to do now is... Just pick a random winner from everyone who left me a comment this week and that lucky lady will get a $5 GC from me to either: SOD, A5D or W&W... So bring on those comments! :)

Now for Day #138...it seems like weeks ago, LOL. I did took a photo for the guessing game, so here it is: an A...

Then Day #139 (Tuesday)... the little tadpole have grown and we already have two little froggies. They are so tiny and cute, but really don't let them loose cause they'll jump all over the place. And since they are so fast and little...they're hard to catch!! LOL. Yeah I know... when I showed one of them to the kids and had put it on the table it jumped right off the table (like 1 meter high) luckily it survided!! Along with one of his little friends I put this little froggie back to the ditch across the street from work....

Ok one more photo...just because they're so cute. We measured it and it was only 1,3 cm big..I mean small :)

Now Wednesday after work I was a little bored and had no inspiration for a photo and just decided to make one of the shells we took home from when we walked through the moroccan mountains in 2006!

Ok please stay with me... cause Thursday I had an amazing photoshoot with one of the girls from softball. Really Nadia is a natural and I loved photographing her! We just drived to this place and found several pretty locations, we had a blast!!! I'm going to show you my photo for the day and make sure to check my photography website later this weekend...

Day #136 & 137: Guessing...

Before I'm starting a fun game this week I have yesterday's photo to show you all... Yesterday there was a fun yearly fair in my parents' town and I went there with my mom and dad... There we met with some other members of our family and friends. Robin our little (ok 12 yr old and almost bigger then me!!) cousin was there too and he went on this thing...

Some kind of bungy/trampoline thing... He was hooked to these bungy cords and jumped as high as he could on the trampoline... I asked him to do tricks, but I think he didn't felt like it! LOL

Now this week, I'm going to take photos and you ladies can guess what it is!! Sounds like fun?? Well one lady who gets them all right will get a 5$ GC to one of my fav digishops, you can pick from: A5D, SPD or W&W ... So what are you waiting for...

Day #133-135: I'm starting to...

get a little blog lazy and I have no clue why!! I mean I love blogging. Not that you can tell from my scrapblog though, cause I've been totally neglecting that one. So my goal this weekend is post to my scrapblog! :) I'm still enjoying this project 365 and taking a photo a day has been so much fun... Anyway I think I told that about a 100 times by now...hihi

So let's start of with Day #133... When playing outside with the kids at daycare one of them came to me, holding this little beetle in his hand. I mean one my colleagues jumped from her chair... LOL We grabbed this special little can and went on the look out for more of these crawly creatures, like spiders and such...well the only thing we found was this beetle and lots of ants. So we had an beetle & ants can and the kids really loved it!!!

Thursday I went to my SIL, to have a little shoot with her kids. The weather was beautiful and she dressed them up (a bit)... It was fun and I thought I had some good photos, but I guess I didn't. I do have some cute ones of them seperately, but not together. The only one that looked o-k, is this one...

Imane (the middle aged, on the left) kept calling Dina's (the youngest) name and pulling her hands and things like that. Aatik (the oldest) has hay-fever, so on most photos he's eyes are closed, due to the fact they itch! When I though I had the perfect pose or so... Imane left the scene, cause well 'miss-I-do-what-I-want' wanted to go on the swing!!!! LOL Really she is funny, but she's also becoming a little brad now and then! She still has a special place with me, since I was there when she was born and had the honor to hold her all night, when my SIL was resting :)

Then for my photo for yesterday... I wanted to go see how the swan mom was doing, but the rain came pooring down!!!!! So I stayed in...took my tripod and extension set and shot some macro things... here's the one I like best. I watered the plants in the living room and this drop was sitting there... I took my 20 shots to get it just how I wanted it. So here ya go...Day #135

Gotta go take a shower and head to my parents... There's a fun yearly fair in their town, so my mom and I are going there. I hope the weather stays like it is (a little sunny) cause they also predicted rain for today... Will be leaving lots of love tomorrow!

Day #130-132: did I tell you...

Mom, that I love you very, very much!! I know you're reading my blog and I love the fact that you're interested in what I do! You mean the world to me and although we weren't best friends back when I was a teenager , I do feel you're one of those friends in my life right now. Just because you care and are there for me when I need you! I love you so much and would've have no clue what to do without!!! Here's you after our Mothersday diner, I love you!!

Then Monday's photo... The neighbourhood kids have been chalking the parking spaces and I took a photo from my balcony. When walking by, they told me this was me... And probably told that to all the other people walking by.... LOL

Then my photo for today... I went to see my SIL and our nephews and nieces. I'm going over there on Thursday to have a little outside/playground photo shoot with them. here's the youngest Dina... She turned onw (ALREADY!) on May 3rd... She's so cute and always happy!

Will see you all again on Thursday... Tomorrow night we're playing an indoor soccer game against our guys and some friends. So a girl/boy game and I know it's going to be tons of fun... Just hope they won't be to rough on us girlies! hehe -x-

Day #128 & 129: Happy mothersday....

to all the moms out there and especially to my own sweet mom!!! Haven't seen her yet, but she did got a little present from me... At daycare we took these plastic disposal tea cups & saucers and painted them with special paint. We made a little teabag tag and put that in the cup...wrapped it and there you have a special teacup for mothersday. So I thought it would be fun and made one too :) My parents went on a sort of a last minute weekend away and I gave my dad the present. This morning when she woke up he gave it to her and that's where she drunk her tea from... They texted me and said the tea tasted it vene BETTER!!! hihi

Today's photo will of course be about my mom...we're going to see them later on and I'm going to prepare all kinds of yummy things, like patry's filled with meat and veggies, a cold salad, chicken wings and lots more... I think I'm also going to make a yummy desert with chocolate, starwberry's, pastry and ice-cream! :)

I still have to show you my photo from Friday & yesterday, so here they are. First of Friday day #128... Really I love how this turned out and I'm even a little proud. During my break at work I went outside and saw this dragonfly sitting on some grass... I guess I approached it way too fast, cause it flew off right away. Like 50 meter down, it sat down again...this time I went close sloooowwly and it stayed!! I was sooo close...

Day # 125-127: getting close...

Or even closer! Still doing the macro/close-up photography thing this week and it's so much fun playing around with my new extension rings. So I'm still on track...well talking the photo business, cause honestly I'm way behind on scrapping my weekly pages. Maybe I'll get to that tonight....

here are my photos...first off day #125. After we had great weather for a few weeks, it rained all day... :( I didn't feel like going out and took this shot on our balcony...

Yesterday I found this little snail house in my parents' backyard and well I still needed a photo for the day, Day #126

And last my photo for today...I took some photos for today, but didn't like them at all. When watching tv I saw this little flower falling down on my lens cap (yeah I sometimes forget to put the cap on right away after taking photos...well at least when I'm at home!) And like how it looked :)

But that's not all.... I told you like a week ago that my photography website was done! I was supposed to show it to you ladies on Tuesday, but just didn't felt like blogging. So I'm going to do it now!! Let me present to you my very first offical photography website:

Day #121- 124: has it been 4 days??

Ok it has never take me this long to post...but I'm here now! And I've got 4 days to show you. let's start with Friday...

After we had diner my guy went to see his parents for a bit..it was still beautiful and wamr outside and so I went on a hunt to find little ducklings. I've been walking around the neighbourhood for like 45 minutes, when I gave up... I did found some ducks still nesting, but no little ones yet. Then when driving back home... I saw the group of geese ... I noticed recently that all the mom geese has left their nests and thought they had abandonded them, but guess not... In between the parents legs there were two groups of young geese. One family had 5 of them and the other family only three, but they were truly the cutest. I stayed in the car first, cause I was kind of scared, but after the mtoehr got used to me I went out and took some more photos... I think I stayed there for like 30 mins...too cute!!! This little one was hiding behind mom's feet and I so love this shot...

Ok one more, this little chick was bravely stading there all by itself :)

Now on to Saturday... when taking a short walk I heard these bees from like 200 meters away and when walking around the corner I saw this beautiful tree, surrounded by like 10 busy bees. here's one trying to get some nectar from the flowers....

Now like I said this next week is going to be all about macro photography! Just a fun way to try out my new extensions tubes. On Sunday we went to my parents and that's where I took this shot... All the flowers in the backyard are so pretty this time of year, don't you just love flowers?? :)

Now for today's photo... It's stawberry time and time for me to host another photo prompt challenge at weeds & wildflowers. The challenge is like a double take this week. I want to see some kind of close-up or mac4o shot and want it to be some food: like fruits, veggies or anything else from the season! :) Last week I ordered strawberries for the kids at daycare, just to see how good they are right now... Well there are sooo good and sweet, this is the perfect time to eat those. So here's my photo...

So guess I'm caught up now... Already have a great idea for tomorrow's shot and hope it works out! :) If I'm in a good mood I'll might even show you my new website... yeah I think I will!! :)

Day #119 & 120: A SAD queensday!!

Today one of our yearly celebrations Queensday for 2009 goes down on a black page. Something really awful happened today wich should've been a wonderful, pleasant and fun filled day, with happy & smiling people all over!!! It was untill like noon....

A little black car with a 38 yr. old guy damaged all of our queensday spirits... After driving into several baracades he crashed into a line of people... causing an incredible, unbelievable, horrific sight killing 6 people & injured another 12, including a few kids!!! They say he told some policemen after the crash, this was an attack on the queen and her family. You can read & see more about the news here

Really the only thing I'm thinking about now is... Will Queensday ever be the same again??? And this is really hurting me! This is always such a beautiful day and thousands of people look forward to this day for months. What are these people thinking when causing such an awful scene and scar so many people and especially little kids for life with all they saw happening today... It just makes me soooo sad!!

Today we were supposed to go somewhere and celebrate this day!! But after we slept in (till 13.oo) and turned on the tv before breakfast (ok make that lunch) we were both in shock about this awful event and the longer we watched the news, the more our queensday spirit faded! I know, we shoudl've just went outside and enjoyed the beautiful way...but when we saw this, we just didn't felt like it! :( We stayed home and followed the news.

I wanted to take a photo wich represented the feeling & spirit of Queensday, but since we stayed in I don't have one. Instead I took a photo of the news on t.v.

As you can see on the clock it was 16.45...the text on the tv says: one suspect is arrested. The latest news right now is that the suspect seems to be brain dead and they just announced a 5th dead and people are saying this could be the suspect!

Now before all this had happened we had an awsome night last night. The night before queensday there are all sorts of party's in Utrecht (one of the big city's) and I went to one of like 6 outdoor party's on the 'domplein' all about 80's & 90's music. I was awsome and the place was filled with orange colored, happy people. I went there with one of my oldest best friends Angela... We don't see each other that often anymore and when planning a date to meet on Tuesday we just said, why not to party on queensnight together and so we did. We had tons of fun and the music was great. We met up with several people, such as my lil brother & his GF, friends, my guy and 3 of his friends.

I do have one little story to share and please don't laugh, cause I'm sure you did the same thing when being in my (our) position!!! LOL. Ok edit, edit, edit!! For my own sake... it was a hilarious little story, but I think it has been published long enough now. Wanna know the whole thing... Too late!! LOL Ok for friends & family I'll make an exception when talking to your on a private note! :)

Anyway I'm not going to show you those photos...hehe. So when I had diner at my parents that night I played around with my new macro rings for a bit, since the flowers were all blooming. Here's my photo for Day #119:...

That's all for today... it's been a weird day, emotional day and it's time for bed now. We both have to work tomorrow and I'm so ready for weekend. There's just one more thing I want to say and that is that I just hope this day won't change anything to all those queensdays to come... -x-

Day #116, 117, 118: Three days in a row...

First off my photo for Sunday... Mother duck left her nest!!! These poor little eggs are all by themselves and I have no clue how this works...but I don't these eggs will come out anymore!! Isn't that kind of sad?? I think so...

Mmm I just googled a bit and it seems that the mommy ducks sometimes leaves the nest for a bit...Haven't checked again though, so that's what I'm going to do when driving to work in the morning...

Then Yesterday (Monday's) photo... Especially for my sweet friend Ellie... Girl I found them and hope these were the ones you were looking for!!! Like two weeks ago, she was talking about sweets and talked about these cripsy choclate covered swirly things and I knew we had them... I searched the grocery store, but couldn't find them. Now all of the sudden when getting food for diner, I found them!!!

Now Today's photo... I got a new toy for my ESO!!! I ordered these rings for my camera on Sunday and they are already here!!! I've been wanting these for months and finally got them. They are awsome... but haven't really had a chance to play with it...yet

You easily put these inbetween your camera and the lens and macro photography would be a peice of cake!!! I so can't wait to play and will probably have to do a macro-week :)

Well gotta go bring my little cousin home... He spend the night and day here, since he's off school for two week and my aunt had to work. We had fun inside and watched madagascar 2... I wanted to take him to this castle, but it was raining all freaking day long!!

Day #114 & 115: Not so special...

Ok haven't got the most excited photos this time, but they will do! Just don't have a lot of inspiration the past few days and even my scrapping mojo seems to be missing. So... If anyone has seen it, please send it back home to the rightful onwer!!

For Friday I took a photo of our 'euros' ...our dollar. I must say ever since we pay with euros everything seems so much more expensive and I still REALLY do miss our old 'gulden'. Anyway here's what I had in pocket on Friday...

Then meet Hippo.... Last week after my dad had cleaned the pond in the backyard he told me found a hippo hidden under at some stones or something like that. Uhm yeah, you don't fool me!!! LOL Well guess I was wrong... Isn't it cute??

Now haven't got a photo fro today yet, but my guy said we are going somewhere later on, so I'll probably snap a few then wherever we're going! Now got to go clean my house a bit...but before I do I'm going to leave some sweet loving around here in Project 365... -hugs-

Oh before I forget, my photography website is done, there's just one thing that it bothering me that needs to be fixed before I'm going to show you all. I did showed it to some friends and family, to check for mistake and ask if there were any things they would change....Got a few great responses and so glad I asked them all! Anyway it will be here Tuesday at the latest!!!

Oh right... Our sweet online friend and another P365 player Sarah, has given birth to her little baby girl Sophia on April 24th... haven't seen any photos yet, but I'm sure she'll post them whenever she can! :) Congrats sweetie!

Day # 111,112 & 133....Lots of fun!

So my little cousin Robin's school celebrated it's 50th anniversary this week and there were so many fun things planned for the kids. On Monday, Tuesday and Today I went there to take photos...

First of is Tuesday, day #111.. a schooltrip to the Efteling, a well know Dutch theme parc and I can tell it was a wonderful day and the weather was beautiful... The sun was so brightly shining I forgot to put sunblock on ad even got a little sunburn on my nose and in my neck. Anyway I took over 600 photos and already started deleting doubles and editing some that need a little retouch. My photo for the day is this:

I loved this beautiful tree and in the background you see this attraction that goes way up in the sky, just love the colors here! Here are some more photos... First of a photo of what the theme parc is know for... Mister Lange Jan

The photo for Wednesday, day #112...the first day back to work after being off for 1,5 weeks...*sigh* I stopped by this beautiful blossom tree on my way home from work. been wanting to take a photo earlier, but didn't do it b/c I prob. had a better photo for that day! :)

Then last but not least day # 113... Today the older kids from school got graffiti classes and it was sooo cool. They got to practice at the bycicle garage thing first and then each of the kids got a spot at two of these wooden boards where they could spray whatever they wanted... They had so fun much. The guys who gave this workshops finished the boards with the name of the school (Poolster) and some little finishing touches. I think they both turned out amazing and they're going to hang these somewhere in the school.... Check it out:

Then there's one more, actually two photos I would like to show you... But it has a little (maybe a big) story!!

One of the kids at school has got leukemia and I kind of felt for this little boy... One week he gets chemo and feels too sick to do anything and the other week he's trying to go to school with his little friends. Well this week was supposed to be his chemo week, but b/c of the party at school he got to get another week off... He attended some of the party stuff this week, but it was hard. Like he couldn't go to the theme parc with us. So when the other kids were rope-jumping some of the older peeps (parents & teachers) got to spray paint the last piece of the bycicle shed wall... And there he was...coming on to the school playground on his bycicle, watching us having fun with the graffiti...On one hand I love the big smile on his face and on the other hand I kind felt sad for him... So I told him to ask his mom if he could help us out when wearing a mouth-cap...and she said YES! So this little 7 or 8 year old helping us out...Ladies, he looooved it!!! He was so happy and you should've seen his smile!!! After we sprayed the walls a bit...the graffiti gusy finished it of with this text saying: 'Keep the school in dignity' ... He stared at it for 5 mins when I took this photo and asked us about the meaning of it....

So that's it for today...Got to finish up some last things for my website, cause yeah it's almost done!! I'm getting more and more excited when just looking at it! So no love leaving for me today..but I'll promiss to leave tons of love this weekend!!! -x-

Day # 109 & 110: I'm early today...

Cause I've got a fun, but busy day ahead!! This week my little cousin Robin's school is celebrating their 50th anniversary and it's going to be sooo much fun for those kids. I'm going there in an hour (10.30) but had some other things to do first...Like post a new challenge on the W&W blog and post here. I'll be the photographer for two days and tomorrow we're going to this awsome theme parc... I so look forward to it and can't hardly wait!

Anyway I'm going to try to keep this post as quick as possible, cause I should've been in the shower by now, but not sure what time I'll be home tonight... So here my photo from yesterday... We went out to diner with my parents in Utrecht along the canals. We first had a drink outside, the weather was beautiful, but b/c it wqas still a little chilly we had diner inside the restaurant. here's a shot of the canal....

The my photo for today... Saturday I got this in the mail: A lovely camera strap cover made by one of my online friends Jessie... Really these are soooo cute and only $15, including shipping... yeah even free shipping to The Netherlands!!!! isn't that awsome. So you should really check out here shoppe on Etsy here. I love it so much, I'm sure I'm going to order another one soon. Oh yeah and it only took less then two weeks to get here!!

Before I'm leaving you might have noticed I changed the siggie on my photos... I went from Pass the Dutch photography, to Past & Present fotografie... Cause I started working on my Dutch photography website!!!! YOooHOoo and well I love the old name, but I needed something a little more professional :) So hope you like it... When my site is done I'll tell you all about it, but it's not quit done yet :)

Day #107 & 108: framed!!

Ok yesterday I wanted to take a photo of our soccer team...brought my camera, but I totally forgot to put my card back in it. Uhm yeah, how stupid!!! I was kind of mad at myself, since I've got three cards and usually but another one in when taking one out... But well, glad it happened now and not during a fancy shoot or something like that. But of course then I'm always bringing more cards! hihi...

So I took this photo of my mom....Framed that it!! I so loved this photo and decided that when I had my page printed I'd frame it... and so I did, here you go:

Then since I didn't went outside yet, I took another photo of a photo today to stay on top of my people project..This time it's my sweet grandparents... may they rest in peace.

This photo was taken around 1994, I think... They were both so sweet and I loved their house. They had a lovely house with a big barn & a beautiful garden. They loved to work in the garden and it always looked so pretty with flowers & some veggies...my GF used to had these little orchards and it was so fun to come along and help out when we were little. We also loved to play in the barn and play pretend games, like us being gardeners, own a restaurant or whatever. We used to have so much fun there with all the cousins.

Like 1,5 years ago the house sadly had to be sold... We did met the people who live there now and they were busy with rebuilding the house, since it was kind of old and needed a lot of work. I asked them if we could ever stop by to see what they did with it and maybe chase back some memories and they said yes. I haven't been there yet, but I sure want to go this summer!

Well see you all Monday, since we're going out to diner tomorrow night with my parents... I do have got an idea for my photo for tomorrow, cause I got some in the mail today I ordered two weeks ago and you're going to love it!!! -hugs-

Day # 104, 105 & 106: Just us

Ok still going with the people theme this week... Our week has been great and relaxing so far and there's just nothing we HAVE to do and I love it :) Tuesday I decided to take a photo of ...ME

Then Wednesday day #105, it was my guys' turn to pose for me... We found this awsome parking lot with numbers on the side. Especially for those people who get lost in parking spots! hehe. Mmm no not us, I always know exactly where my car is... Really, do I?? hihi. Anyway here he is...Looking in to his future of turning the BIG 3-0 in October and love how this turned out!!

And last for Today's photo... my softball team. And yeah I can call them MY, since I'm our team captain...LOL. Tonight we played our first official game of this season. We lost, but we had a fun game and so glad to be back in the competition!! Last year we became our competition's champions so this year we got promoted to a higher class. Since we don't had any idea what to expect and how high the level of teams would be, I think we did ok. We lost with 7-1, so that's not too bad...is it? So here's the team...This will probably be one of tons of photos where everyone is there. That's what you get with a team of working ladies, moms and students :)

We had to quit the game earlier after the fifth inning, cause a heavy thunderstorm came over us and it's still pooring outside. But well we had beautiful weather the past two weeks or so... So if this weather is only for a day or too and then the suns comes back out, I'm happy! :) Will be leaving some loving in the morning... But it's coming closer to midnight and I'm exhausted!! -hugs-

Day #102 & 103: Beware of too much photos!

Ok I'm a little behind since I wanted to post these yesterday, but I didn't feel like bloggin at all and had a relaxing night on the couch with my guy... Anyway we had a great easter weekend and hope everyone else did too.

Sunday we had an easter brunch over at my parents' with 19 people; my parents, my bro and his GF, her mom and sister, my aunt, her daughter and BF and little boy, my cousin & his wife & kid, my aunt-uncle and their son, GM (my dads mom) and the two of us... does that make a total of 19?? LOL We had an awsome day and after brunch we went to this little theme parc and woods. It was fun and so enjoyed it! let me start of with the photo of that day, Day #102...My autn and her grandson Quinn in this little airplane ride... I love the movement and colors on this one!!

Then just a couple of random shots I liked... First Quinn and my little brother melvin, who always has to climb the biggest tree around! LOL. Then my cousin Sylvia and her cute boy...Then Quinn in this ride, riding a little bus... My guy on this boxing machine

My mom and aunt in this big carroussel... Again Quinn , twice going down the slide, once with my aunt Yvonne... But there probably be a few more of him...Simply cause he's my little model :) Although I haven't really took photos of him this year, but you'll see his cute little face more often on my bloggie here!

My little cousin Robin and our 2nd cousin Sidney... So fun they're the same age and they love to hang out together. I'm saying this cause we only have contact with my cousin and his family for since my grandma passed away three years ago... Sidney is his daughter and he has such a sweet family! I'm so glad they're back in our lives!! Next up Quinn again, riding this little train...well you can see on his face that he loved it! :)

Then lastly our little due, just chillin in his buggy while we were walking in the woods...isn't that cute?? :) Used a blue-ish filter to make a little serious look!

Then on to Day #103... yesterday we didn't do very much, we had a diner over at my guy parents, so he went. Instead my SIL Najima, her friend and I went for a ride. We first went for a drink on a terrace cause the weather was awsome and just relaxed. Sfter we went back to their house to have diner we went to this little parc to take some photos of them. DAY# 100& 101!!! Wow time flies by! Freebie alert!

Yesterday I took my 100th photo for Project 365 and I'm still sooo happy I started this whole thing. Like I said the other day: it's not always easy to find a theme or idea for my photos, but it challenges me to look further and I love it!! This week was all about natury things...well my photo for today is anything else but it does include this cute little boy!! Last week when these daffodils came out I knew I had to take my colleagues' little boy Ruben here to take some photos of him. Well yesterday I did!!! He's such a cute little model and he always works with me. Earlier this day I told we were going to take some photos for his mom, well he reminded several times... 'Are we going to the flowers across the street now??' isn't that sweet? :) Well here's my photo for Day #100

I've been playing with these photos in lightroom all morning, but just couldn't find the right preset and so I just started playing with settings myself and loved how this turned out...and so I made my first ever preset and used it on all my photos. I did played around with the light a bit after worths, but the main feeling I had in my mind for these photos was there! Since this 100th photo is kind of a milestone I decided to give this preset away on my blog here!! isn't that sweet??!! :) Hope you like it!!

Edit: got it!! My photo for today that is: Day #101. It has something to do with nature & spring, but I can tell I don't like these little creatures at ALL!! Busg is what I'm talking about... Now with the season change all these little creepy bugs are back too. I went to the parc and this little one sitting on a leave...so I grabbed my macro lens en took this photo...Iiieeek!

Oh did I tell you my guy and I have a week off!!! Yoohoo, we both so need a little break from 'real' life and need some time to ourselves. Since it's easter weekend we both thought, why not stick another week to it and so we did! The weekend is going to start of great, since we're having a easter brunch over at my parents' house tomorrow and so can't wait. I'm going to make some yummy sandwiches and everyone else who's coming will bring something too..the american style! LOL

Day #98 & 99: just one more...

photo a day, till I (we, doing the P365 thing) reach my 100th photo for Project 365...Really how cool is that and I'm so glad I started this whole thing. cause I really get so much out of this. Eeveryone who sees my blog, like family, friends & colleagues love it and that makes me kind of proud. It also makes me stretch my creativity, I do must say there are days I have no clue what to photograph and other days I just comes to me...Like you mayb have noticed this week is all about new life & signs of spring. I didn't had the intention to go this way, but it just happened :)

We had little lambs, new tree buds, flowers & a swan nesting her eggs to come out. Well yesterday's photo is also about new life... of frogs that is!! LOL. My parents' have this pond in the backyard and frogs find it the perfect place to get it on and lay some eggs there... Well some, you can say tons at the least!! LOL. here's just a small piece, probably 1/4 of what they left this week in the pond...And probably 1/8 on what they will be leaving the rest of the week, cause it seemed they were still busy producing some more...LOL

We took everything out of the pond, since my dad thinks there are enough frogs in there and well you probably can't see any fish when the whole pond is filled with tadpoles...LOL. Anyway I'm taking the bucket with the eggs to work tomorrow, like I do every year. The kids love and it's such a cute project too. They love the whole process and can help me feed them and of course see them grow. When they've turned into little frogs we're releasing them back into nature... So you'll probably see more about these little ones in the future :) Oh yeah if you wanna know more I found this fun info, for 'raising frogs in the classroom'

Now for Today's photo, I didn't have to look far... I just got back from some grocery shopping, cause well a girl has go to eat and healthy if possible too! LOL Anyway stay on subject hun... I saw this dandelions stading next to our appartment building. So after I brought my grocery's upstairs I came back down with my camera and here they are:

So gotta go start on diner now... we're having lamb chops (mm what did I just say about new life...sorry for those vegaterian peeps out there) , with rosemary grilled patato's & a salad. Tonight we've got our first softball game of the season. This is just a friendly game, but next week the real competition starts...wish me luck! :) -hugs-

Ok wait, I just said I proud I was for keeping this whole project updated...well I just (fianlly) noticed that I still have my February header up and we're already in April!!!! Will be fixing that hopefully in between diner! LOL

Oh and guess who's back?? It's our own sweet Biancka... I so missed her blogging, but seems she had a rough month. Now if we all could just leave her some sweet loving. I know she'll be very happy and will hopefully promiss to not neglect us anymore!!! Missed ya hun and glad things are back on track... -x-
